The minute the professor paired up keifer and luna I literally froze .I wanted to be with him but turns out some random girl is paired up with him
I just hope everything goes well .
Class ended in few minutes
" jay " keifer said
I turned around
" yes ?" I asked
" luna will come over today , to help with the project , is that ok?" He asked
She's coming over ? I'm definitely not ok with that . But it's for the project
" oh she's coming over , that's ok" I said forcing a smile
" alright then luna 4pm at My house " he said 🙄
" yes I'll definitely come " she said excitedly
I know exactly where this was going , I chose to stay silent
( back at home)
The door bell rang , keifer went to open it and there stood luna with her stupid smile
" hey come in luna " he welcomed her
Both of them went upstairs for their project
Great I'm all alone
(Time skipped to 2 days later )
Everything got worse
Luna got closer to keifer , smiling and laughing with him
And he laughed too
He doesn't seem to notice or maybe pretending to
I tried to spend time with him
Whenever I asked him if we should go on a date
He'd say
" sorry jay , but luna is coming over "
Or
" I'm going to luna s house for the project "
I felt My chest tighten
I controlled my jealousy
I couldn't let that get over our relationship
But one day - everything changed
Luna purposely fell and keifer caught her . And that's when My anger snapped
I walked towards him
" keifer "
" jay ? What's wrong ?" He frowned
" what's wrong ? I repeated letting out a short bitter laugh
I looked at luna
" you seem pretty comfortable with her " I said raising an eyebrow " care to explain?"
His jaw tightened
" Are you serious right now?"He scoffed " we were just talking "
I shook my head
" just talking ?" My voice rose " does that include leaning close ? Laughing ? ,don't act like you don't know what your doing" I snapped
" God jay " he replied " your overeacting "
My eyes widened
" overeacting " I repeated , hurt flashing across my face
" yes overeacting " he said , he's jaw tightening
" you see two people talking and suddenly you act like I betrayed you " he said
My fingers curled into fists
" you looked like you enjoyed it " I muttered quietly
" Oh my God jay , not everything I do is about you " he snapped
The words hit me like a slap
For a moment , I couldn't even breath
" wow " I whispered , my voice trembling " so that's what you think?"

I saw the hurt in her eyes , but the anger in my chest wouldn't settle
" I think your making a huge deal out of nothing " I said my tone sharp
( Jay's- pov )
I signed in frustration, shaking my head
" I assumed nothing " I said quietly " I just saw something that hurt "
" jay if your going to get jealous every time I talk to someone, then maybe this whole thing about us is just exhausting "
That one hurt the most
I looked away. So he wouldn't see the tears forming in my eyes
" fine " I said softly " then go back to luna , you don't need to waste your time on someone like me "
I replied and walked away
( Keifer s pov )
I watched her walk away
Her shoulders stiff ,her steps quick , like she didn't trust her self to stop
I almost called her name
But the words were stuck in my throat
" great " I muttered
The hallway felt quieter
I was just talking with luna - nothing more
My chest tighten as Jay's expression flashed in my mind - the way her eyes looked hurt when I said those words
Not everything is about you
The whole thing about us is exhausting
