Jay's pov
The cold Oslo air brushed my cheeks as I stepped out of my apartment. The cobblestone streets sparkled from last night's snow, and the colorful old buildings with small cafés tucked into every corner made the city feel cozy and alive. The harbor glittered in the pale sunlight, and the faint smell of roasted coffee drifted from the cafés.
"Hannah!" I called, spotting her waving near a corner café.
She grinned. "Jay! Over here!"
Next to her were three others. Hannah stepped forward. "Jay, meet my friends! This is Elise," she said, pointing to a girl with brown hair holding a sketchbook.
"She's from Bergen , Norway and loves sketching everything around the city."
"
Elise smiled warmly. "Hi! Can't wait to see what you think of Oslo. I've sketched a lot of it already."
Hannah continued, pointing to a boy with dark hair and a shy smile.
"This is Liam. He's from canada . Super chill, very easygoing."
"Hey," Liam said softly, waving.
" Hannah then gestured to a tall blond boy with a friendly grin. "And this is Noel. He's from Australia"
Noel stepped forward, his blue eyes sparkling as he gave a small, polite bow. "Hi, Jay. Welcome to Oslo. I'll do my best to show you around."
I smiled politely. "Thanks, Noel. I appreciate it."
We started walking along the cobblestone streets, past small shops selling pastries and handmade crafts, and over narrow bridges that spanned calm canals. Snow from the night before glittered under the soft sunlight, reflecting the colorful buildings in puddles along the sidewalks.
As we walked, the group introduced themselves more fully, sharing where they were from and little quirks about their neighborhoods. Elise showed me sketches from her notebook, and I found myself pointing out ideas and scribbling small notes in mine.
" Jay introduce your self more " Noel said with a grin
" I'm from London, my parents are the owners of Mariano company "
The group's eyes widened slightly, but Hannah nodded approvingly. "Wow, that's impressive. And you're diving straight into architecture too? Love it."
I shrugged lightly, smiling. "Yeah… I want to focus on my work, my designs, and… well, life here in Oslo."
Noel kept glancing at me now and then, smiling whenever our eyes met. I noticed, but it didn't make my heart race—I was focused on the city, the sketches, and laughing with my new friends
Hannah nudged me playfully. "Looks like Noel's already a fan."
I laughed lightly, shaking my head. "He's just… nice."
Noel chuckled, pretending to be offended. "Just nice? That's all I get?"
I smiled politely and turned my attention to Elise, who was showing me a sketch of a snowy street. Noel didn't look disappointed—just quietly amused.
For the first time since leaving home, I wasn't thinking about anyone from my past.
I was just Jay—laughing, sketching, and exploring Oslo with new friends.
And that felt… exactly right.
( Keifer pov )
The apartment was quiet, almost painfully so. The echoes of laughter, of memories, of Jay… they were gone, leaving only the cold walls and the weight of regret.
I sat at my desk, staring at the financial reports on my laptop, the textbooks stacked beside me. Numbers, charts, projections—they all felt meaningless without her.
But I couldn't let that stop me.
I clenched my fist. "I have to be better. For me. For her. For the future."
Watson wasn't going to run itself. One day, I would be at the top—CEO, decision-maker, someone who could handle responsibility. And if I wanted to deserve someone like Jay… I had to start now.
Some nights, I paused and stared out the window, imagining her somewhere far away, smiling, living her dreams. A pang of longing hit me. My chest ached, and I swallowed hard to hold back the tears.
"I miss you," I whispered into the quiet room. "Every single day. And I hate that you're not here. But I can't let that stop me."
I rubbed my temples and got back to work—reading about business strategies, memorizing case studies, building plans, visualizing the company I wanted to lead.
I wasn't doing this to chase her. I wasn't doing this to beg for forgiveness.
I was doing this to become someone she could be proud of, someone who could stand on equal ground with her—a man who could handle life, love, and responsibility.
Even if she never knew the sacrifices I was making… even if she was completely unaware of my struggles…
I would grow. I would fight. I would become the man I needed to be.
Because losing her had shown me the truth: I couldn't take her for granted. I couldn't waste time being the boy I used to be.
And one day… one day, if fate allowed it, I would show her.
