CHAPTER 20: THE ASCENSION PROTOCOL

The sky outside the cave was now completely black. Only the red laser beams from the Execution Carrier pierced through that darkness. Storms of dust and ash swirled across the ground of the Wasteland.

Slowly, through the dust, a massive figure advanced. It did not look like an ordinary machine. Its body was made of liquid metal that changed its shape every moment. Its red eyes were locked directly onto Aryan.

Captain Zero immediately loaded his plasma gun.

"Aryan, get back!" he shouted.

But Aryan did not move. His mother's words were still echoing in his mind—

"The system wants to seat you in its place…" Hunter-Prime stopped. Then, its heavy, synthetic voice roared across the field—

"Subject 01." "Your evolution is complete." "The Architect's seat is vacant." "Accept synchronization… and the Purge will stop." A sudden silence fell over the Wasteland. Aryan looked at his mother; the mysterious white light was still shining in her eyes. Iris gripped Aryan's hand.

"Aryan… this could be a trap," she said softly. "If you synchronize, perhaps your human consciousness will be erased."

A black shimmer flickered in Aryan's eyes.

"I don't want your throne!"

He roared and slammed his metal rod into the ground.

[SHUNYA DRIVE: 100% ACTIVATED] Black Shunya energy erupted from his body, merging with blue electricity. In the next instant, he lunged toward Hunter-Prime with the speed of lightning.

CLANG! Hunter-Prime transformed its hand into a massive shield. But as soon as Aryan's Shunya Energy collided with it, the shield's code began to glitch.

CRACKLE! Hunter-Prime immediately counter-attacked. A high-frequency Sonic Wave burst from its core.

BOOM! Aryan was thrown several meters away. A piercing sound began to ring in his ears. At that moment, a voice echoed inside his mind—his mother's.

"Aryan…" "Do not break the code… become part of the code." "Zero is not just the end… it is also the beginning." Aryan closed his eyes. He stopped fighting. He allowed the Shunya energy to merge within him.

Suddenly, the entire world went still. The wind stopped. Time stopped. Hunter-Prime froze in place. Aryan now stood in a strange digital space. Before him shone a massive throne—The Architect's Throne.

Hunter-Prime's voice was now calm.

"Accept this throne."

"You can save your mother."

"You can erase suffering."

"You will become the new Architect."

"God of this world." Aryan stepped toward the throne. Then he stopped. He looked back. There was Iris. There was Captain Zero. There were the people of the Resistance, fighting in the dust and darkness.

Aryan said softly, "Being a God means… becoming separate from everyone else."

"And I want to change this system while remaining human."

He diverted all his energy—not toward the throne—but toward Hunter-Prime's core.

[FINAL COMMAND: REBOOT_SYSTEM_LOGIC] A blinding light spread across the entire Wasteland. Hunter-Prime's body began to break apart. Its red eyes started to flicker. But before vanishing, it spoke one last time—

"You chose humanity over divinity…" "Now the System will show you its true wrath." And in the next moment—it shattered. Dust. Data. And Shunya.

The light slowly faded. The Execution Carrier crashed to the ground, inactive. All machines had shut down. The Purge Protocol had stopped. But the purple color of the sky remained the same.

Aryan slowly reached his mother. The white light in her eyes was now dimming. She held Aryan's hand.

"You made the right choice, son…" she said with a weak smile.

"But now the system won't just consider you a 'Virus'…"

"Now you are a Legacy Error." Aryan remained silent.

"And when the system finds an error…" she said, "it uses all its power to erase it."

High in the sky, clouds began to swirl. Purple lightning flashed, as if a massive power was awakening.

Captain Zero said softly, "It seems… the system itself is going to create a new Architect."

Aryan picked up his metal rod. The black Shunya energy sparkled in his eyes. He looked toward the sky. He knew—this was only the beginning.

Now, the real path led to where the entire system was born—and if he truly wanted to free this world… he had to reach the place where Reality is written.
