As the Going Merry sailed deeper into the Grand Line, the strange and unpredictable weather began to affect the crew. Soon, Nami suddenly collapsed with a serious fever.
The crew quickly gathered around her as she lay weak on the deck.
Sonic stepped closer and looked at her with a serious expression.
"Nami… this isn't normal," Sonic said quietly.
He looked toward the dangerous sea around them and added, "The Grand Line's weather is worse than I thought."
Sonic clenched his fist slightly. "We need a doctor. Fast."
Screen 2
As the crew searched for a doctor, they suddenly encountered a strange pirate ship. Its captain, Wapol, appeared and revealed his strange ability to eat almost anything with his Devil Fruit power.
Wapol even tried to bite into the Going Merry itself, attempting to damage the ship.
Before the situation could get worse, Sonic dashed forward in a blur of speed.
He rushed through Wapol's crew, knocking them down one after another before they could react.
Within seconds, most of the enemy crew was already defeated.
Then Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji stepped in and quickly finished the remaining pirates, forcing Wapol to retreat from the battle.
Screen 3
The Going Merry finally reached a cold winter island. Snow covered the mountains and villages as the crew carried the sick Nami ashore, hoping to find a doctor.
But when the islanders saw pirates arrive, they reacted with fear and hostility. Some of them warned the crew to leave immediately.
Sonic stepped forward and looked at the villagers calmly.
"We're not here to fight," Sonic said. "Our navigator is seriously sick. We just need a doctor."
Then he quietly added to the crew, "Let's stay calm. Starting a fight here won't help Nami."
Screen 4
Dalton explained that the only doctor on the island was an unusual woman called Doctor Kureha. She lived alone in a castle high on the snowy mountain.
He also told them about the island's past. The place was once known as Drum Island and had been ruled by the cruel King Wapol. After a powerful pirate named Blackbeard attacked the island, Wapol abandoned his kingdom and fled.
Sonic listened carefully while looking toward the tall snowy mountain where the castle stood.
"So the only doctor is all the way up there?" Sonic said.
He then glanced back at Nami lying weak on the ship.
Sonic's expression turned serious. "Then we don't have time to waste."
Screen 5
Even with the danger ahead, Luffy and Sanji decided to carry the sick Nami up the steep snowy mountain to reach Doctor Kureha's castle. The path was harsh and covered with deep snow.
Dalton warned them about dangerous meat-eating rabbits that lived on the mountain.
Sonic moved ahead of the group to clear the path. As the giant snow rabbits and icy creatures appeared along the trail, Sonic dashed forward at incredible speed, striking them and driving them away from the crew.
Snow scattered in the air as Sonic continued running up the mountain, making sure the path stayed clear so Luffy and Sanji could safely carry Nami toward the castle.
Screen 6
While Luffy and Sanji slowly climbed the steep snowy mountain carrying Nami, Sonic stayed close beside them to guard the path. The climb was difficult because the snow was deep and the wind was strong.
Sonic moved back and forth along the trail, watching for any dangerous animals or enemies that might attack. Whenever something approached, he quickly rushed forward and drove it away before it could reach the others.
Even though climbing the icy mountain was not easy, Sonic kept running along the path to make sure Luffy and Sanji could continue safely toward Doctor Kureha's castle.
Screen 7
Meanwhile, in a nearby village, Doctor Kureha was busy treating a sick child. Despite her strange personality and high medical fees, she was still one of the best doctors on the island.
Standing beside her was a small reindeer named Chopper, who helped her with medicine and supplies.
When Chopper noticed Sonic nearby, his eyes widened in surprise. "An animal… that can talk?" he said in shock.
Sonic looked back at the reindeer and tilted his head slightly.
"Wait," Sonic said with curiosity. "You can talk too?"
For a moment, the two simply stared at each other, both surprised to see another talking animal.
Screen 8
Under Doctor Kureha's care, Nami slowly began to recover from her illness. The crew finally relaxed after the difficult climb up the snowy mountain.
Luffy immediately asked Doctor Kureha to join their crew as their doctor, but she loudly rejected the idea while proudly insisting that she was still young and strong.
Nearby, Chopper nervously watched the pirates. When Luffy and Sanji noticed the small reindeer, they suddenly got the wrong idea.
"Food!" Luffy shouted as he rushed toward him.
Sanji followed right behind. "That reindeer looks delicious!"
Sonic laughed and dashed forward too. "Wait, wait… let me catch him first!"
Chopper screamed in panic and ran across the room while the three chased him around the castle in complete chaos.
Screen 9
After the chaotic chase inside the castle, Sonic finally caught Chopper. Instead of grabbing him roughly, Sonic gently held him and gave him a quick hug.
Chopper froze in surprise, his face turning red with embarrassment.
Luffy and Sanji rushed toward them. "Give him here!" Luffy shouted.
Sonic quickly stepped away while still holding Chopper. "Relax. He's not food."
After the confusion settled, everyone sat down together. Sonic was still holding the shy reindeer, who slowly stopped struggling.
Then Doctor Kureha began explaining Chopper's past.
She told them how Chopper had once been rejected by both humans and reindeer until he met a strange doctor named Hiluluk. Hiluluk accepted him, gave him the name Tony Tony Chopper, and became like a father to him.
Hiluluk believed strongly that nothing was impossible. He dreamed of bringing cherry blossoms to the snowy island, believing their beauty would give the people hope and cure the country's sadness.
When Chopper later learned that Hiluluk was sick, he desperately searched for a rare mushroom that he believed could cure him. During that search, Chopper faced many hardships while trying to save the person who had believed in him.
As Sonic listened quietly to the story, he gently patted Chopper's head.
"That's a tough past," Sonic said softly.
Screen 10
Even after hearing Chopper's story, Luffy kept asking him to join the crew.
Chopper was confused and nervous. Because of his past, he found it hard to believe that pirates truly wanted him as a friend.
Luffy stood in front of him with a big smile. "Come with us!"
Chopper hesitated, remembering how people had rejected him before.
Sonic looked at the shy reindeer and spoke calmly. "I know it's not easy to trust people after everything you went through."
He then added with a small smile, "But relax… you're not food, okay?"
Chopper blinked in surprise while the crew waited for his answer.
