Inside the sea-prism stone jail, the crew quickly realized something was wrong. The special cage weakened anyone with Devil Fruit powers, making escape extremely difficult.
Crocodile soon appeared above the cell, calmly looking down at them. He began explaining parts of his plan while mocking the trapped pirates.
Luffy grabbed the bars and shouted angrily.
Sonic stepped forward and looked up at Crocodile.
"Stop talking and free us, brat," Sonic said sharply.
Crocodile only smiled slightly, clearly enjoying the situation as the trapped pirates struggled inside the cage.

Back inside the jail cell, Luffy and Usopp started joking around despite the serious situation. Their laughter quickly annoyed Nami and Zoro, who were trying to think of a way to escape.
Meanwhile, Vivi stepped forward and confronted Crocodile directly. She demanded to know why he was destroying her kingdom.
Crocodile calmly explained his plan called Operation Utopia. His goal was to weaken Alabasta, create chaos, and make the citizens believe the king was responsible for the drought so they would turn against him.
Sonic listened closely from inside the cage.
He looked up at Crocodile and said firmly, "So this whole war… you planned it from the beginning."
Screen 3
Crocodile continued explaining more details of his plan to Vivi. The calm way he described the destruction of Alabasta made Vivi furious.
Realizing how serious the situation was, Vivi tried to find a way to escape so she could warn the Rebel Army before the civil war began.
Inside the cage, Sonic listened carefully to everything Crocodile said.
He stayed quiet for a moment, memorizing the details of the plan in his mind.
Sonic then said quietly, "Good. Now we know exactly what he's planning."
Screen 4
Crocodile continued mocking Vivi as she demanded to know how to stop the war.
With a cold smile, he forced her into a cruel choice, saying she would have to choose between saving her friends in the cage or rushing to save her father and the kingdom.
Then Crocodile casually dropped the key to the cage into a pit filled with giant crocodiles below, making escape seem impossible.
The crew looked down at the pit as the key disappeared among the dangerous creatures.
Vivi began to lose hope for a moment.
But Sonic stepped beside her and looked at her calmly.
"Don't give up yet," Sonic said quietly.
His confident expression gave Vivi a small spark of hope.

As the trap continued, the room slowly began filling with water while the crocodiles moved closer beneath the cage. The situation looked more dangerous by the second.
Suddenly, a Den Den Mushi rang nearby.
Sanji, using the name "Mr. Prince," had secretly called Crocodile and tricked him into thinking the Straw Hats had already been captured somewhere else. Chopper helped with the plan by pretending to be Crocodile during the call, confusing the situation even more.
Believing the false information, Crocodile left the room to deal with the supposed capture.
From inside the cage, Sonic watched the whole trick and smiled slightly.
"Nice move, Sanji," Sonic said. "That bought us time."
Screen 6
Sanji returned to the casino with Vivi and revealed his plan. After defeating Mr. 3 earlier, he forced him to use his wax ability to create a copy of the jail key.
With the wax key, the crew finally unlocked the sea-prism cage and escaped the trap.
As soon as the door opened, Sonic dashed out at full speed, moving away from the rising water and the crocodiles below.
At the same time, Luffy and Zoro handled the giant crocodiles, driving them back so the crew could safely get out of the room.
After escaping the trap area, the crew encountered Captain Smoker again.
However, Smoker remembered that Luffy had helped save him from Crocodile's trap earlier. Because of that, he decided not to arrest them this time and allowed the crew to leave.
Screen 7
Luffy and the crew rushed across the desert toward Alubarna Palace to stop the civil war. But before they could reach the capital, Crocodile appeared and blocked their path.
Knowing Vivi had to reach the city quickly, Luffy decided to stay behind and fight Crocodile. Sonic stepped forward as well, choosing to help hold Crocodile back so the others could continue toward the palace.
Crocodile's sand powers made the fight extremely difficult. His body turned into sand, causing many attacks to pass right through him.
Luffy began using water to counter Crocodile's drying ability, throwing water to make Crocodile's body solid enough to strike.
Meanwhile, Sonic used his incredible speed to constantly circle Crocodile, launching quick attacks and forcing him to react.
Sonic dashed around him and said, "Let's see if you can keep up with this."
The constant speed attacks annoyed Crocodile, forcing him to defend himself while the intense battle continued in the desert.
Screen 8
Crocodile raised his hand and unleashed a massive sandstorm across the desert. The violent storm raced toward Yuba, threatening to destroy the town and the old man who still lived there.
Luffy and Sonic rushed forward together, trying to stop Crocodile before the storm could spread further.
But Crocodile's sand powers were overwhelming. With a powerful attack, he struck them both down and buried them beneath a mountain of sand.
The heavy sand pressed down from all sides.
Sonic struggled to move, but the sand kept collapsing around him. Breathing became harder as he tried to push himself free.
Above them, Crocodile calmly walked away, believing the two fighters had no chance of escaping the desert trap.
