Screen 1
Even after being hit, Enel quickly regained control of the fight. Using Mantra, he sensed the intent behind both Monkey D. Luffy and Sonic's attacks before they landed.
Each time they rushed him, Enel moved instantly in a flash of lightning, seeming to teleport across the Ark Maxim and dodge their strikes.
At the same time, Enel activated his flying ship, the Ark Maxim, and began gathering enormous thunderclouds above Skypiea.
With a cold smile, he called the storm "Deathpiea," planning to destroy the entire sky island.
Luffy quickly realized that normal attacks would keep getting read by Mantra.
So he changed his approach. Instead of aiming carefully, he began throwing wild, unpredictable punches in random directions.
Sonic caught on immediately.
Using his speed, he started moving in erratic zigzags around the Ark, mixing feints, sudden stops, and random kicks to make his movements harder to read.
Sonic smirked and said,
"Let's see you predict chaos."
Screen 2
Just as Monkey D. Luffy and Sonic began pressuring him, Enel changed tactics.
Using his lightning power and the gold around the Ark Maxim, Enel heated and reshaped a huge mass of molten gold.
In an instant, he attached a massive superheated golden ball to Luffy's hand.
The sudden weight dragged Luffy down and threw off his balance.
At the same moment, part of the molten gold splashed onto Sonic's glove and arm, sticking to him as well and slowing his movement.
The weight became too much, and both of them lost their footing.
A moment later, Luffy and Sonic were pulled off the edge of the Ark and began falling from the ship.
Screen 3
While Monkey D. Luffy and Sonic struggled after falling from the Ark Maxim, the rest of the crew stepped in.
Sanji and Usopp secretly infiltrated the Ark Maxim to rescue Nami.
Meanwhile, Luffy and Sonic slowly recovered from the heavy fall below the clouds.
Sonic shook off the remaining gold stuck to his glove and looked up at the massive ship above.
"We're not done yet," he said.
The two quickly began making their way back toward the battlefield while, above them, Nami and Usopp were forced to face Enel directly on the Ark.
Screen 4
Enel attacked Usopp, and when Nami tried to help, Enel moved to stop her.
At that moment, Sanji arrived, kicked Usopp to safety, and bravely took a direct lightning strike himself.
Later, Sanji and Usopp managed to escape the Ark Maxim, while Enel grew frustrated over the damage done to the ship's engine room.
After learning about Enel's plan, Monkey D. Luffy and Sonic charged up the Giant Jack to confront him once more, with Sonic rushing ahead in a fast Spin Dash.
Screen 5 Final Fight
The battle on the Ark Maxim reached its final stage.
Monkey D. Luffy and Sonic fought together against Enel, forcing him back across the ship.
Sonic used his speed to keep Enel off balance, dashing around him with rapid feints and quick strikes, while Luffy used his rubber body to ignore the lightning attacks.
As Enel tried to escape toward the Golden Bell, Sonic rushed ahead in a fast Spin Dash, striking Enel from the side and opening the perfect path for Luffy.
Luffy then launched his final attack and drove Enel straight into the Golden Bell, causing it to ring across the entire sky.
The sound echoed all the way down to Mont Blanc Cricket on Jaya, proving at last that Mont Blanc Noland had told the truth about the golden city.
With Enel defeated and the war finally ended, Nico Robin discovered a Poneglyph beneath the bell along with a message left by Gol D. Roger.
Sonic looked at the ringing bell and smiled.
"Now that," he said, "was a finish."
