After the battle in Skypiea, the Straw Hat Pirates and Sonic finally descended from the sky, returning to the Blue Sea with the treasure they found.
Meanwhile, far below on the sea, Donquixote Doflamingo confronted Bellamy over his failure at Jaya.
Doflamingo had also heard reports about a blue speed fighter traveling with Straw Hat Luffy.
He gave a slight smile and said,
"So there's another interesting one with them now… Sonic."
The news of Sonic's speed and his role in Skypiea had begun spreading among powerful pirates.

The Straw Hat crew and Sonic suddenly found themselves facing the Marine Admiral Kuzan.
The atmosphere immediately turned serious as Aokiji brought up Nico Robin's dark past and the danger of letting her travel freely.
Seeing the threat, Monkey D. Luffy stepped forward first and tried to fight Aokiji alone to protect the crew. Sonic moved beside him, ready to support.
Luffy attacked with powerful punches while Sonic rushed in at high speed with fast strikes and Spin Dash attacks.
But Aokiji calmly froze the battlefield around them and effortlessly avoided their attacks.
Within moments, both fighters were overwhelmed by the Admiral's overwhelming ice power.
Despite clearly having the advantage, Aokiji chose not to finish them, mentioning Luffy's earlier defeat of Crocodile as the reason for sparing the crew.

Journey to Water 7
After recovering from the clash with Kuzan, the crew continued sailing across the Blue Sea toward their next destination.
Along the way, they encountered a strange but memorable guide — Yokozuna, the large sea frog who kept jumping in front of the train tracks and waves.
The frog began guiding them toward the famous city of Water 7.
Sonic watched the frog leap across the sea and tilted his head.
"A frog guiding a pirate ship…" he said with a small grin.
"Honestly, after a sky island and a lightning god, this somehow feels normal now."
