Chapter 10 - CHAPTER 9

EVAN SEVILLE

We arrived home, and Amelia immediately went to the living room to put the roses on her favorite vase, after she gave me her purse and took off her shoes.

I just chuckled, hanging her purse, putting her shoes on the shoe rack, and headed to the kitchen to get our dinner ready on plates. Once I did, she came on time, already in her night gown— comfy and adorable.

"Ooh, what's the menu for today?" She asked, waving her hand forward to smell the aroma of the food hanging in the air.

"T-bone steak, asparagus, mashed potato with cheese, and mushroom gravy— Oh, and some mushroom soup as well, one of your favorites." I winked at her with a smile. She just gave me the look, before sitting down with me and ate.

"How's the environment?" I asked gently, reaching my hand to her small one across the table, holding and rubbing my thumb on the back of her hand.

She gripped my hand, her eyes bright as she spoke, "oh, trust me. The environment there was so, so good! How did you manage to find that place? I mean, not to mention, I never seen it down the blocks before whenever we pass by, and it also has cats and dogs, too." She exclaimed and continued.

I stared at her, letting out a soft scoff as I listened to her— Trust me, I love listening to her days than mine, even she wanted to listen my days, too.

I ate while she kept on chatting and eating. I kept up by nodding and humming, keeping my contact with her when she talked. Even when we were done eating, she still talked about her day, which I really didn't mind.

I love listening to her. Listening to her just made me calm down and not think about anything but her.

After we talked about her day, I decided to take a shower to freshen up. When I came out of the bathroom, I saw her reading a book entitling: "Love In The Skies". I just smiled before heading to our walk-in closet, got into my boxers, and head back out to our bathroom to hang the towel and closed the door.

I walked towards our bed and hopped in under the blankets, scooting close to her while she read. I rested my head on her chest, closing my eyes when I felt her adjusting her arm and wrapped it around my neck, continuing her reading.

I listened to her heartbeat, the rhythm of her heart soothed me— Thump, Thump..

A thought came to into mind, it was something I've ever dreamed of having. But I knew she didn't want it. I've been patienly waiting for her to change her mind about it for the past 3 years..

I hoped, even though I knew she won't change her mind about it. Yet, I prayed that one day she'll changed her mind. I've always wondered, but never imagine because I was manifesting it.

I wanted that dream to happen.

I respect her, I love her. But I want to have that dream with her, to have that future build with her. Because she was the one for me, I knew it from the start when I met her that day, back in our colleage days.

I was walking down the whole way, carrying a stack papers relating to some issues that our colleage had been experiencing, since I was the president.

Suddenly, someone bumped into me when I turned to the right corner, making me drop the papers and scatter as they spread everywhere. I was frustrated, but held it in when I saw a woman instead of a random guy.

"S— sorry, I didn't mean to— Ah, shit.. The papers, sorry. Let me help you," she said in a panic tone, picking up the papers and stacking them accordingly and by reading the titles.

I didn't move, I kept staring at her figure on the floor and when she looked up, I met her beautiful, brown eyes that seemed like gold because of the sun shining through the hallway windows.

She was beautiful.

I felt blessed because this person also happened to be my favorite author, the one who wrote the book called "Eyes". My eyes widened, mouth agaped as I stared at her. She got up and gave me the papers, my body automatically took it from her but I couldn't tore my gaze from hers.

"Um.. Sorry.. Bye.." She quickly left, when my eyes followed her, I saw her ears bright red, and went back to her classroom.

"Wow.. She's gorgeous.." That's what came from my mouth.

"Evan.."

"Hm?" I responded quickly when I heard her calling out my name softly. She didn't answer me. Instead, I felt her hand ran through my hair, making me bury my face on her breasts as I inhaled her sweet, rosy scent.

"Are you done reading?" I rasped, feeling sleepy already. She hummed in response, "can we stay like this for a moment?" She asked and I nodded. She adjusted herself to lay down while I also adjusted with her, laying between her legs, my head on her stomach now as I laid there, feeling at peace.

She kept running her hand through my hair, humming softly, my eyes were close the whole time, not even bothering to open them because I was also tired and I just wanna be like this.

Just vulnerable abd comfortable in my wife's arms.

"Can I hear your day before I go to sleep?" She asked, her voice rasped with exhaustion. I groaned softly, burying my face on her stomach, "just finished a couple of chapters, did everything around the house, took care of things like a good man, and I just thought about you all day.."

She giggled at my sleepy voice, I was replying slowly, but she appreciated it. My mind then showed an image, which was the thought that I had a while ago.

I wondered.

"Amelia.. Are you ready for kids?.."
