I slid into the first-row seat between David and C_in, my bag heavy on my shoulder.
The classroom felt too loud, too bright, too close.
Immediately, Section E noticed me.
"We're sorry," someone whispered quietly, nervous, avoiding my eyes.
"You're here," another added softly, almost like they didn't know what to say.
I kept my head down, opening my notebook, pretending I didn't hear them.
Yuri sat at his desk, serious, quiet, his gaze fixed on me, unreadable.
He didn't smile.
He didn't laugh.
He just… watched.
Keifer sat near the back, calm, quiet, unreadable, also watching me.
I didn't want to face him, but I couldn't stop noticing his gaze.
Every whisper, every glance from Section E made my chest tighten.
I kept writing, my pen moving faster, trying to make myself invisible.
Sir Alvin began speaking, his voice filling the room, but I couldn't focus.
Every glance, every movement reminded me that I couldn't escape them today.
I stayed silent.
I didn't speak.
I didn't look up.
I just wrote, hoping the class would end soon, hoping I could survive being here.
And I knew this was only the beginning.
