"Hah? Ahhh... let me think."
I suddenly felt like a complete idiot. It sounded stupid even as I said it. Even if she lived outside, why would they let me back in after leaving? Unless it was the next day, which was a terrible idea.
"So you never leave this place? Like you're locked in here too?"
"No, I can go outside whenever I want,"
Alina replied.
"But unlike the other maids, my home is far from the city, so I live here with Miss Anya."
"Miss Anya? You mean that old lady I met yesterday?"
Alina nodded.
"Miss Anya is the head maid. She's the only other maid who lives here besides me."
"Where is she?"
"She's gone with Miss Volkov."
"With Diana? Why?"
"She's Miss Volkov's personal maid, just like I'm yours."
"And when will they get back?"
"Around eight pm."
So Diana would be back around eight, and the head maid was with her. That meant Alina could get in serious trouble. But now... how was I supposed to get out?
