"Little Ember…?" Ethan repeated slowly, his brows knitting together in confusion. He let out a heavy sigh, running a hand through his damp curls.
"Whoever that is… he or she must be incredibly lucky to have your love," he added, his voice softer now.
He paused, his gaze lingering on her tear-streaked face.
"But if you're choosing to live for someone else," he continued gently, "then you should also learn to live for yourself too, Aria."
Without waiting for her response, he reached out and carefully pulled her up from the floor. His grip was firm yet gentle.
"Come… sit," he murmured.
He guided her back onto the bed, making sure she was steady before sitting down in front of her, his eyes never leaving hers.
Aria shook her head weakly, tears still streaming down her cheeks.
"Just help me, Ethan… please," she pleaded, her voice breaking as she wept uncontrollably.
Ethan inhaled deeply, steadying himself.
