"I'm only letting you wear this because we might run into him on the way out," Ethan added.
"Huh? Wait....how the hell do you even know he's not at the door?" Aria demanded. "Do you have spies in the hospital?"
"Just stop asking too many questions and let's go," Ethan said with a faint smile. "I've already prepared a place for us to have hot pot....your favorite."
He paused, his expression softening slightly.
"We should at least have some good moments in this city. After all… this is where we both grew up."
He stood up from his chair and put on a mask.
"We can leave tomorrow with good memories of it," he added.
Aria couldn't help but nod slowly. Swallowing hard, she took the scrubs and walked into the dressing room.
She quickly changed into them, packing her hair neatly into a bun before putting on the scrub cap. After that, she secured the mask over her face.
Once she was done, she stepped out.
Ethan was already waiting for her.
