Two burly men stood rigidly in front of Aria's door, their expressions stern as they carried out their duty without wavering.
"Good morning, Don Damien," the two men greeted in unison the moment their eyes landed on him.
Damien gave a slight nod, his sharp gaze already fixed on the door. "She hasn't come out since morning?" he asked, one brow arching as a faint scoff escaped his lips.
"Yes, boss," one of the men replied immediately, his tone firm and respectful. "She only came out last night. She went to her mother's and step-sister's room… then returned straight back here."
The second guard stepped forward slightly, eager to reinforce their diligence. "To be certain she's still inside, we checked the window. It was locked from the inside, and the guards stationed outside haven't moved from their posts."
Damien exhaled slowly, the sound heavy with restrained impatience. "I see…"
