Steel and claws collided in a violent blur.
The instant Ronan and the Alpha panther met in the center of the factory, the world seemed to explode into motion.
CLANG!
The Alpha's claws smashed against Ronan's dagger, sending sparks flying across the dark hall. The impact forced Ronan backward several steps, his boots grinding against the dusty concrete.
But he didn't fall.
Not this time.
The temporary energy he had absorbed was still burning inside his body like wildfire.

Ronan barely managed to duck.
