CHAPTER 21 FIVE YEARS LATER
The afternoon sun ☀️ shone bright, clear skies, birds chirping and flying, and soft wind filled the air.
Yep, it was a perfect day.....for a hunt.
BOOM!
"ROAR....
At a particular side of the forest, an explosion had caused a massive crater to form. The large trees in that area were either broken down or bent to the wrong side.
Slowly getting up from the crater, a large metallic boar growled. It shooked the dust particles of its head and body, and began running.
It was an advanced ranked beast.
The Boar's hide was metallic with fleshy skin on its under belly and two sharp horns sticking from it snout It's four hooves danted the ground on a stampede....as it ran for its life.
Looking closely, one could see that most part of the metallic hide was dented with cracks and blood flowed. It was hurt.
Behind the unlucky danger beast, three monsters chased after it.
Suddenly, one of those monsters.... dropped from the sky and landed in front of the beast with a bang.
BOOM!
Dust filled the air.
The Boar halted it's advances and cast it's dark gaze on the figure in front of its path.
The dust cleared off, revealing the figure. It was a light skin teenage boy with green hair. He was tall, shirtless, revealing his bulging muscles and abs. He wore a black leather pants with leather boots. Within him, a glowing Ringed core and two spirit cores rested, a Beast Master of the Noble stage.
Lan smirked.
"Where do you think you're going, the fun ain't over yet"
Flexing his biceps, he cracked his knuckles.
The Boar roared and dash forward, it's metallic hooves creating dust in its wake.
"Good, good, you're not tired yet"
Lan's eyes glowed, and a green chest armor appeared, covering his upper and lower body but leaving his muscular arms bare. The armor had the engraving of an elephants head at the front, fitting him like a glove. It was a spirit weapon.
"Bring it"
Hot steam flowed from the Boar's snout, and it bent it's head, stretching it's horns forward.
Lan planted his foot firmly on the ground, bent forward, and then..
BAM
He caught the horns of the Boar, then drifted backwards due to the force speed of the beast.
The Boar pushed Lan backwards, and after a short while, it stopped. No matter how the Boar pushed forward, there was no movement in Lan's part.
Lan raised his head and stared at the beast in its eyes.
"I guess I'm stronger than you"
He said.
He gripped the horns tightly... then lifted the massive Boar of the ground and over his head, performing a suplex.
BOOM!
Lan smashed the beast to the ground, sending dust and craters flying.
"Wow that was heavy"
He dusted his hands.
Due to the nature of his elephant spirit beast, Lan had unlocked super strength.
The Boar was dazed as it struggleed to stand.
Suddenly, the environment became cold, and chilly. White ice surrounded the beast and an icicle platform rose into the air, carrying the beast and freezing it up. The ice was sturdy.
Another figure appeared beside Lan, clad in a black leather armor and black boots. He's white hair flustered in the wind and on his hand, he held a spirit weapom, a long white sword with double edged.
Bryon shook his head.
"I kinda feel sorry for the guy"
He was referring to the beast which he had frozen up on an ice platform, but was very much alive. Cracks where already forming on the ice, It was already breaking free from it's ice prison.
"Yeah, tell that Billy because he's about to finish it with one blow"
Lan pointed towards a tree where a another figure stood.
Also clad in black leather armor, Billy smirked as he prepared to shoot himself off the tree.
His hands glow and two armored gauntlet appeared, encasing his fingers to the wrist and stopped at the elbows.
He clenched his fists and his body suddenly burst into blue flames, a new attribute from his spirit beast.
WOOSH
Billy launched himself of the tree, moving with intense speed.
Before the boar could finally break the ice..
BANG
Billy smashed it with his fist, causing an explosion which destroyed both the ice and the beast.
There was no blood or gut, everything was frozen up but the ground became littered with ice debris.
"Well, that's about it. Who's hungry, I know I am"
Lan said as he picked the crystal.
The three of them had become mature, and had grown both in strength and height.
Of course Lan was still taller.
They were Beast Nobles now.
Billy and Bryon were one star Beast Nobles while Lan was a two star.
"Put on a shirt"
Billy scoffed as he walked away.
"Mhen you became grumpier over the years"
Lan said with arms folded.
Billy paused and glared him.
Lan smirked.
Billy shook his head and walked away.
"And you've become bolder"
Bryon chuckled.

At another side of the forest, a large flowing lake came into view, and deep inside the lake, a feminine figure stood on the lake bed.
She was clad in an armless leather armor which stuck to her body like glue, showing the outlines of her athletic and curved body. Her pale white skin glittered in the light reflected by the sun and her long silver white hair flowed with the lakes current.
At her side, a massive silver turtle 🐢 with red glowing eyes.....swam with the tiny fishes of the lake. It let out a moan, enjoying the feel of the water.
It was her spirit beast.
Sylver smiled.
She always enjoyed staying under the lake. It was peaceful and calm, and away from the others.
She sat down on the white sand of lake bed with eyes closed spread out her senses.
She could feel the water and the creatures of the lake, both the normal ones, and the not so normal ones. Being low ranked, they chose to ignore her, threatened by the presence of the large and seemly calm looking turtle behind her.
Sylver could have stayed in the calm touch of the waters for hours if she wanted to, but the familiar presence greeted her.
Her smile turned to a frown and she opened her eyes and looked up.
She sighed, then dove out of the lake.
She landed on the surface and her body dried up instantly.
"Hey Slyver"
Lan smiled.
She didn't.
Sylver was no longer the cute small girl, she had grown beautiful and taller, a strange growth spurt which still leaves the others stunned.
She was a four star Beast Noble, still keeping her title of the strongest in the group.
"We're done with Boar beast"
Bryon said as he sat down close to the water.
Billy leaned on a nearby tree.
And Lan...
"Cannon ball....."
Using his whole weight jumped into the lake causing a big splash.
Bryon shook his head.
"Always easy going, nothing's changed about him since five years ago"
He said.
Slyver stood with arms folded and gaze at the blue sky.
Bryon stared at her for a while, sighed then looked at Billy, who had his eyes closed.
"The last five years was an adventure, what do you think?"
He said
She didn't respond.
Her eyes where still at the sky.
"We'll finally be going to Avalon tomorrow. I'm kinda nervous"
He shuddered.
Billy opened his eyes.
Lan was still somewhere deep in the lake.
Sylver said nothing.
Bryon sighed.
Five years together but somethings haven't changed.
Sylver barely speak, except when giving out commands during group hunts. she had been training under Slade and only him could understand some part of her.
Billy trained under Barron, taking in his gruesome method. He always competes with Sylver but she always show she's number one.
Lan trained under Barron and Wilfred. Harsh strength training for Barron, skills and combat training for Wifred.
Lan was the second strongest.
While Bryon trained under Wilfred. Bryon had matured, really. His manners where cultured, unlike his bad boy nature, and like a polar bear on a cool ice, he no longer panick in dire situations.
Bryon thought for a while, then spoke:
"I never got to apologize, did I?"
He smiled softly.
Slyver brought her gaze down and looked at him.
"You know, back then in the village"
She didn't speak so he continued.
"I was just being a kid, mindless kid who loves to fool around and bullying others, like I did you"
He paused.
She did not speak.
"I was a fool, and I accept that"
He dropped his head.
"And a jerk"
Sylver added.
Bryon chuckled.
"That too, and I'm sorry"
Slyver's gaze soften
"Accepted"
She nodded.
"Don't forget to tell that to Roman when you see him in Avalon"
Billy's eyes darken, but he remained silent.
Bryon chuckled
"I wonder how he'll be "
Lan's head suddenly burst from the water.
"Hey guys, there's a giant turtle under the water, and it knows how to have fun. It's not everyday we get to see Slyver's spirit beast"
He beamed.
Byron sighed
"It's still different to believe he's old than us"
