Chapter 33 THE STRONGEST CLAN
As the time went on, the other student began to arrive in groups and solos.
Sarah had come fourth.
Lan got fifth
Billy got sixth
And so on...
Some of the students were a mess... some had fallen of the rope and into the endless dark canyon.
Luckily there was a wide net fix at the bottom, which prevented them from falling any further.
Sir Brock gave them an ear full, explaining how worthless they all were before teleporting them back to the academy court yard.
The sun had just risen by then, so there was some time before their homeroom classes. Enough time for a long shower.
Sometime later, the first years had settled down in the classroom, before Wilfred walked in.
"Morning class"
He smiled
"How was your morning drills"
The students groaned.
"Horrible..
One student said.
"I still have mud in my hair..
Another said
"Are we really going to be doing that everyday..
Almost everyone had something to say.
Wifred let them express their selves.
"Well, you'll get used to it eventually. You have Spirit Beast class later, so let's focus on our current class "
Wifred walked towards his desk and sat on it.
"So, let's talk about the great clans"
He said.
The students sat up properly, ready for another sir Wilfred amazing lectures.
"What do you know about the great clans?"
He threw a question.
"The Big Three..
One answered
"The strongest clans in Avalon.
Another said.
"My dream is to join the Phoenix Fire Clan "
Another beamed.
Anya rolled her eyes.
Fury looked at her, and did the same.
Surprisingly, she let him sit on her shoulder, and she was visible.
"You all gave nice answers. This leads to my second question. Which is the strongest clan?"
He asked.
"The Phoenix Fire Clan. They are the strongest, that's why they are number one"
One of the students said.
"Alright, but do you know there was a fourth clan?"
The class went silent.
Roman raised his head.
He sat at the usual front. Sylver was beside him.
Lunar and Sarah sat behind.
Wifred continued.
"As future knights, it's important to know your history. There were four great clans, namely: The Flowing Flower Clan, the Night Raid Clan, the Phoenix Fire Clan...and the Tiger Clan"
Wilfred had the full attention of the class.
He had Roman's attention.
"The Tiger Clan was the number one and the strongest clan before the Phoenix Fire.
Some of you weren't born during that time, or you were just tiny kids"
Wifred chuckled.
"The Tiger Clan consist of a hundred members, all having the Tiger spirit beast. Their leader was the strongest warrior on the same power level as the current king, a Demi god, and his wife was at the Transcendant stage, the same level of power with Phoenix Fire Clan's leader"
Roman raised a brow.
Mom is that powerful..
"So what happened to them, and how come we don't know anything about them"
One student asked.
" Turns out, the Tiger Clan were plotting to overthrone the King.."
"Wait what?!!"
Roman exclaimed before he knew it.
All eyes turned turned to him but he didn't care.
He had been waiting for his mom to tell him about their history herself. He had a feeling that his parents were connected deeply with Avalon kingdom, but didn't pay it much attention.
"This was just fifteen years ago. The King found out that his brother planned to betray him.."
"Wait brother?..."
Roman eyes widened.
Everyone turned to face him again.
Wifred chuckled.
"Yeah it's true. The leader of the Tiger clan was the King adopted brother. After the King found out about the plot, he ordered for the clan to be wiped out when they least expect it.
It wasn't an all out war. Most of the clan members escaped the city, alot died, along with the leader who had battled the King. The King had some help though.
After the battle, everything about the Clan was erased while some important stuff were locked up in the King's castle.
The rest was erased by the passage of time, and no one had seen or heard about anyone with a Tiger spirit, till this day"
Wifred paused
"What if someone awakens a Tiger "
Sylver suddenly asked.
"By the King's decree, that person is to be executed "
Wifred replied.
Roman smirked darkly and red lightning surge through his eyes.
He was the last son of the Tiger Clan.
Lunar leaned in for behind.
"Damn dude "
He whispered
"You Uncle is the king "
"Shut up "
Roman whispered back
Anya's eyes suddenly widened. Her ears perked. She heard them.
"Is there something you wanna add, Anya"
Wifred asked
"Huh..n..no"
She shook her head
Wifred nodded and carried on with the lessons .
He talked a little about the Tiger Clan before moving on to the other clans.
The rest of the lessons were a blur to Roman, his mind was distant.
All he could think was :
Everything is a lie. It has to be. There's no way mom and dad would do such. I know mom but, I don't know dad...
He began to doubt himself.
'Then again, mom never told me anything, so do I really know mom has j thought I did.
But there's no way she would lead a coup..
He was slowly fumming in anger
I'm gonna have to find out the truth myself..
From behind, Fury shivered.
Anya glanced at the squirrel, then towards Roman.
Lightning ran through his hair.
The class ended sometime later.
"We'll continue tomorrow"
Wifred said
"You have Spirit beast class in a short while. Have fun"
He left the class.
The class burst into chatter. Some exit the class, some sat for a while.
"Roman..... Roman....
Roman sat still, completely lost in thought.
Fury jumped on his shoulder and tapped his head.
"Huh?"
"Hey, are you okay, we kinda lost you there for a second "
Lunar said.
"Yeah I'm fine "
He stood up
"Let's go for our next class "
He left.
Sylver looked at Lunar with a worried look.
"He's fine."
Lunar assured
"He just doesn't anything about his family. My dad wanted to tell him a while ago, but he decided to wait till his mom returns."
Sylver nodded as they walked out of the class
"Listening to how sir Wifred explained got him on the edge"
"Yeah, let's hope he doesn't smack anyone. Roman's uncontrollable when he's angry "
Lunar chuckled.
"What are you guys talking about?"
Sarah said as she walked towards them.
"Nothing, let's go "
Lunar shrugged.
The students slowly disperse, living Anya alone in the classroom.
Her mind was somewhere else while her ears listen for distant sound.
"Interesting....
She spoke.
"Curiously..... interesting..."
She snapped out of her daze
"Gosh I really need to keep my ears in check"
Anya stood and left the class.
