Nhel felt his insides twist painfully. He remained on his knees, clutching his chest tightly.
What was this pain?
He wanted it to end.
His eyes shot open.
Anisha's scent.
"Nhel!"
He heard her voice and tried to look around, but all he could see was a blur of red.

After wandering for quite some time in search of him, Anisha finally found Nhel.
"Nhel," she called, hurrying toward him.
His eyes were bloodshot red.
She knelt in front of him, but suddenly, Nhel's fingers wrapped around her neck.
Anisha gasped as his claws dug into her skin.
A dry cough escaped her, shock written all over her face.
"Nhel…"
Her voice pierced through his consciousness.
Immediately, he released her.
"Anisha.." His eyes widened, but he was still struggling to control himself.
Anisha dropped onto her hands, coughing, blood seeping from the wounds on her neck.
Then the scent hit.
Nhel shook his head violently, stumbling back. Sharp fangs protruded from his mouth.
