Anisha didn't say anything after that.
Very soon, they reached the palace.
Jasmine led them through long, intricately designed corridors before finally showing them into a spacious room….one large enough to comfortably accommodate both Nhel and Anisha. The room was richly decorated, with tall windows draped in elegant fabric, and a grand bed placed at the center.
"You guys should take a rest first. My grandfather can see you later," Jasmine suggested with a soft smile before turning and leaving the room.
The moment she was gone, a quiet stillness settled between them.
Nhel turned to Anisha.
"About what happened between us," he began, his voice uncertain as he struggled to find the right words, "I have no idea what…"
His sentence trailed off as Anisha spoke.
"I'm not judging you. It's alright."
Nhel paused, his gaze fixing on her as a flicker of wonder crossed his eyes.
Was she not curious? Not afraid?
Did she not want to know what he truly was?
