Chapter 28: Unleashing the Fire (খসড়া)
The air in the clearing turned frigid as the Black-Claw Enforcers emerged from the tree line. Their fur was as dark as midnight, and their eyes burned with a cruel, golden light. They didn't just come to capture; they came to dominate. The lead Enforcer, a massive brute with a jagged scar across his snout, stepped forward and let out a bone-chilling growl.
"By order of the High Council," the Enforcer's voice projected through a telepathic link, cold and unforgiving. "The Omega is to be taken. Dead or alive."
The Alpha stepped in front of her, his grip tightening on his blade. "You'll have to go through me first," he snarled, his own wolf spirit surging to the surface.
But to his surprise, a warm hand landed on his shoulder. "No," the Omega said softly. Her voice wasn't weak anymore; it had a rhythmic power that vibrated through the ground. "This is my fight."
As the first Enforcer lunged, a blur of black fur and teeth, the Omega didn't move. She simply closed her eyes and reached deep into the core of her new power. Just as the wolf's claws were about to tear into her, a massive wave of crystalline blue fire erupted from her body.
The force of the blast sent the attacker flying backward, crashing into the ancient oaks. The other Enforcers skidded to a halt, their predatory confidence replaced by sheer terror. They had never seen an Omega—or any wolf—wield power like this.
"I am no longer the broken child you used to hunt," she said, her eyes now burning with an unearthly glow. "I am the nightmare you were always afraid of."
The Alpha watched in silence, a mixture of pride and fear in his eyes. He realized then that the world he knew was truly gone. The hunt had ended, and the revolution had begun.
