At Dark Moon pack, Alpha Tyrone walked in hurried steps out of his office—almost breaking into a run as he hurried out of the pack house. His beta was closely behind while the warrior who had come to deliver the news to him walked ahead.
He halted suddenly as they got out of the pack house, right at the entrance and on the ground were the unrecognisable bodies of three of his pack members. One omega and two other people.
Their faces have been slashed and bitten off.
The pack's territory was now being infiltrated by the demons, nothing was stopping them. Not the men stationed around to guard or the warriors always on standby.
"Bury them properly". He barked at the men and turned back around.
His frustration and confusion seeped deep into his being, just weeks ago the death had been normal each pack was experiencing them but not at this rate.
If it was to continue like this, very soon he would lose all his people and that was a scary reality for a pack.
When that happens, conquering the pack would be a matter of days. For the warriors, other packs will attack them.
"Call an emergency meeting with the elders". He threw over his shoulders at his gamma and continued walking.
When a knock sounded on his door a while later, instead of the elders he had expected—the pack seer walked inside.
Her hair in a tight high bun and a shawl over her shoulders, she looks younger everytime people saw her and that made him let out a loud sneer.
"The pack is going through issues but you are failing in your job as the seer. Why then have you appeared before me?" Alpha Tyrone yelled his brown eyes switching between black and brown as his wolf came forward.
"That's why I'm here now, your father and I had a cordial relationship mind the way you speak to me". The Seer drawled out lazily.
"If you had done your job properly, we wouldn't be here today!"
"You are still a pup so I do not blame you if you do not understand what's going on.
Every pack is in turmoil, we can't escape what's coming.
That's why I brought a message for you, I remember seeing a young white-haired omega here a while back. Where is he?"
A look of confusion passed through Alpha Tyrone's features before he snorted in disgust.
"What is it about him?
I got rid of him for something better" He replied smirking.
"You got rid of him? That isn't good". The Seer replied and her face went sour.

At Black Wolf Pack, Alpha Draven stood a few steps away watching the omega thread carefully through the garden before he knelt in the soil while looking at the flowers.
It was a habit and routine they discovered and kept doing for the past weeks. The Alpha smiled at the obvious difference in the Alpha's features, he no longer looked ghostly pale or bony.
His hair was also a lot healthier and longer than before—it was now being put in a pony tail. The smile that tugged at the Alpha's lips faltered when his mind derailed to the discussion he had with the Seer in his study that day.
He was afraid but also sure he would do anything in his power to keep him safe, doesn't matter the cost.
The Omega turned towards him suddenly and blew air at a dandelion he held, scattering the seed about. He let out a giggle and turned his attention back to the flowers.
After almost an hour in the garden, the brightness was fading as the sky darkened.
The Alpha approached him and bent to lift him off the ground like he weighed nothing.
The Omega laughed softly and put his arms around the Alpha's shoulders, and his face into the crook of his neck.
He sniffled loudly and the Alpha froze.
"What are you doing?" he asked as the door to their room opened and he walked inside.
He tried to drop the omega on the bed but he held on tightly and kept his nose at the crook of his neck.
"c'mon" The Alpha muttered with his eyes closed, and. a groan escape his lips.
The Omega finally let go and was dropped on the bed, his cheeks had a hint of pink on them.
He turned away and covered his face, embarrassed about what happened.
"Freshen up so that we can have our dinner here". Alpha Draven said, taking a step away from the bed.
They ate in total silence a while later, the Omega didn't eat much but the Alpha didn't comment on it.
After tucking him in bed and making sure he was asleep, the Alpha eased himself off the bed and left the chamber to clear his head.
He had more worries now that he has his mate, and there are a lot of things he couldn't do without thinking twice about it.
What was more disturbing to him was the way they are also physically connected even without completing their bond yet.
"What do you have?" He asked the man waiting in his study, he had sent him to the Dark Moon pack to find more about the Omega for over a week.
He had many questions he needed answers to, and they will remain unanswered if he doesn't take extra means to seek out answers.
"His mother was captured and brought back to the pack from a war with another pack. She died from his birth complications and no one knows who his father was.
He was normal and lived like a kid until he became an adult.
He suddenly withdrawn and no one really knew why".
Alpha Draven's face remained emotionless as he listened on.
He had expected something more gory or disturbing but he felt a little relieved it wasn't more than that.
He dismissed the man and returned to the chamber but stopped when he noticed the empty bed.
The figure he had left sleeping there was no longer there and he was just a step away from the bathroom door when he froze in realisation.
Instead of walking straight into the bathroom, he took a step back out while his wolf argued for him to return to their mate.
