I decide to go check with saint white feather first. I've decided to hold off using the coins, their basically soul shards so no doubt I could trade them for something good.
That and I could probably get something real nice from sunny with them maybe ill do a preemptive trade. Yeah that will work. I walk my way up to a white feather clan member
"Hello. Is the saint of white feather clan here?"
He nods
"Yes saint Tyris is here"
"If possible I'd like to have a meeting with her. It doesn't have to be today"
"I'll tell her about this"
He then leaves. I wonder when ill be able to get a meeting with her.
A few days later I get a meeting with master r and saint white feather. I bow
"Hello once again. It has been some time, from what I know awakened sunless already explained our disappearance"
master r smiles "Yes he did meet with us. He also met up with awakened song of the fallen"
I nod
"I heard, I have a minor favor to ask"
"Oh what exactly do you want to ask for?"
He seems a bit suspicious, I adress saint white feather
"Well you see if you can find the time, can you please take raised by wolves and nightngale to the chain isles"
She tilts her head
"And when do you propose this happen?"
"That's is mostly up to you. As long as its by next fall"
She thinks for a bit
"Unfortunately i can't until winter"
I stand up
"Thank you for your time but that will not work"
I bow to them leaving a awakened soul shard as thanks for meeting with me.
I work on the walls, I sit playing cards with Singer. A random awakened im pretty sure works the walls a lot
"Uh, well, hello awakened Heat Seeker"
I keep playing cards, Divine Flame looks up with a huff. He take a step back at that
"Is there something by the walls?"
He shakes his head
"Uh no. I uh just saw the movie"
That gets me to look up, i try not to laugh. oh dear thats what this is about
"Really now?"
"Yes. I uh, heard you worked in the production"
I nod
"Yes. I did give them information on events."
He almost lights up, hes still nervous but hes more excited now.
"Well,I think it was very good... I liked your character of course..."
I tilt my head.
"Do you want a autograph?"
A frankly stupid idea im not even that famous. I was the least marketable of Neph's cohort, other then sunny and even then he had leading the dreamer army. Most of the sleepers there only knew me as some scary ominous figure who had some evil goal.
I didnt, I was just there in my opinion but who cares, if they think im that cool im more then happy to let them think that.
"Oh, of course"
I summon my notebook, I use the pencil to do a simple signature, I then hand it to him.
"Sign"
I point to the notebook. He looks at me confused
"If im giving you my signature, then you give me yours"
He nods and quickly makes his signature and he then runs off. How odd of a interaction, it was funny so im not going to complain.
"Heat seeker"
I look back. Its master r, wounder what he needs
"Yeah?" He walks over
"I have a favor to ask, first are you as strong as that short friend of yours"
Its sunny clearly
"Depends."
He sighs
"Figures.... but can you deal with a awakened demon on your own?"
I nod now very very confused
"Of course I can. If theres a demon getting too close to the citadel why am I being asked to deal with it?"
He seems rather sheepish
"You see there's a fallen devil and a pack of awakened beasts and monsters a little too close for comfort."
I nod makes sense, send someone they know can deal with it to take out the lesser problem
"What island is it at. I can probably get there pretty fast"
Me and Singer float over to the island. It wasn't too far anyways, just a 3 hour journey if I take it slow and careful. So i can see why I was asked to deal with this. I land stretching
"A awakened demon huh. Shouldn't be too hard"
Singer looks over at me
"It is foolish to let your guard down"
I wave my hand
"I'm aware, one wrong move and I die a horrible death"
I get to walking. I quickly find the awakened demon. A... spider, I don't like spiders much. A foolish thing isnt it. To hate a whole kind of creature for the actions of one. Still, im quite the foolish person so what do I care.
I get low to the ground. It seems that it had to move because of the crushing so it hadn't been able to set up much of a web. I quickly rush in. Its barely able to swing at me before I get on its back. I stomp on its head making and grabbing onto a set of ice chains.
I push myself up and its head down. Im able to freeze much of its back before im kicked off. I land on a web freezing it as I do. I make a set of ice daggers and I nail its feet to the ground. It roars but I simply summon my shield throwing it down as hard as possible. I hear the spell so I jump down. I quickly butcher the damn thing. I shake my hands of the frozen blood getting all of it off of me.
I float back over to the citadel. I wave to the guards. I see master r, he looks worried. Did something go wrong on his end. He sees me and he walks over
"Heat seeker how did it go, I hope I didnt ask anything too hard."
I nod
"It's was pretty easy."
He seems relieved
"Well im glad you weren't hurt kid. I was the one who asked you to go on that mission and all"
He walks away. I stare, its haven't been called kid in a while. I put my hands in my pockets walking over to where sunny normally sells things. I of course see sunny and his emporium, now with his mimic chest.
I sour a bit under my helmet. I sit next to him leaning back. I sigh and I spread out all of the stuff I gathered from the spider. I dont want to have the stuff from it. I dont like spiders after all.
"So how much for two things of meat?"
I look up
"Two dormant soul shards or one awakened one"
She nods handing me two dormant soul shards and she takes the meat and leaves. This happens a few more times, a few people who regularly buy the stuff I sell make some small talk. They seem pretty nice mostly.
A few are a bit annoying but ill deal. Being famous sucks, its also like super cool. I offer pretty good prices so im commonly bought from.
"Yo sun."
He looks over his shop has been getting super popular after he got the mimic
"Yeah?"
"Has prince said anything else"
He makes a somewhat sour face
"No he hasn't said anything to me since the ivory island...."
I look away
"I hope hes okay. I'd like to meet him face to face, if he's real and not a voice in your head"
Sunny glares at me
"I'm not crazy ■■■■"
"Heat seeker, hey"
Someone walks over to me. Its some random i dont know
"I've got a broken table can you fix it?" I nod
"I'll check it out. From there ill set the price"
It's a common thing, for people to ask me to fix things up. I get soul shards from it, although i save about ¾ of them giving the rest to divine flame. Its easy work and not dangerous so im happy to do it. They lead me to their room, yup thats a broken table. One of the legs seems to ahve snapped off.
"1 dormant soul shard. I'd you give me 2 ill make sure the same thing doesn't happen to the others"
They quickly nod handing me the soul shards. I take my tools out from my satchel and I get to work.
I put on a somewhat okay outfit, fix myself up to look like I didnt just fist fight a raccoon tornado and all that. I grab the ice skates I had bought, I made sure to get a very reputable brand as well. Its finally almost time for my ice skating lessons.
Took long enough honestly, the waiting list for the lessons took so long. Then again its right by a school in a wealthy neighborhood, of course it took so damn long. I quickly put in my shoes, I think sunny already went out. I dont know why but, as long as hes not getting into a massive amount of trouble why should I care. I head out to go catch my ice skating lessons after so long of waiting
