I feel my communicator vibrate in my pocket. Its time for the movie

I am of course very happy about this very very fun turn of events. I get up patting myself off. It doesn't matter much how I look as I will be wearing the armor of ash. I go upstairs seeing sunny who has a face of distain.
"Hey sun, ready for the movie? I think it will be QUITE fun"
He looks up getting a comically pissed off look
"I swear to god ■■■■ if im portrayed as a idiot im going to beat your ass"
I laugh. Very very loudly as well. Effie rolls in
"Dorks one and two, the PTV is here"
I do the weird thing I do when im excited and I quickly move to the front door.
We get to the place the movie is being shown at.
"Going to go sit with healer bye"
I then run off before either can respond. I run over to healer. I grab her hands almost bouncing.
"Healer healer! You ready?"
"So ready! Im going to be in a movie with Night from nightngale!"
She pulls me over to our seats. We sit next to eachother. Shes very excited to be in a movie. I elbow her
"Maybe i could get you to actually meet meet Kai"
She elbows me harder then she grabs her arm rubbing it
"Oh really heat seeker?"
"What are you jealous I got a true name? And you didnt"
"oh come on, I was there for 3 years and yet I didnt get a damn thing"
As the lights dim i look over at healer then back. The movie starts with black haired Neph as a kid with her dad and some speal about how awakened are to protect or whatever. Boring.
Then it goes to the academy, I hadn't asked about that time in their lives so I dont know much about it. Theres neph kicking everyones ass in combat class, in which sunny is missing like I told them he would be, details details. Thats when caster appears and.... i elbow healer trying my hardest not to laugh, I whisper to her
"cast and neph, pfft"
She rolls her eyes
"Oh come on ■■■■"
Soon sunny appears. I over my mouth trying not to laugh, played by the shortest man ive ever seen! I grab healers shoulder shaking her a bit. She looks over not very entertained by my antics. I stop and put my hands in my lap.
Neph finally gets to the dream realm and its straighten up, finally, where my input matters. Cassie and her meet, they move in the labyrinth and all that when sunny appears scaring the shit of them with his shadow.
Hes in his classic fit, the puppeteer's shroud. He joins the party and is played mostly as the straight man to the insanity of the other two. Neph is way too eager to fight awakened beast and monsters, cassie goes along with it too easily, letting sunny play the only normal one.
There's the getting of the echo, the fight with their first monster then a moment I've been waiting for, the soul- whatever. First the fight with the awakened demon, that they win with cleaver tactics loosing the echo, sunny is comically sad about it, healer shakes her head, who wouldnt be dismayed over loosing such a valueanlr asset.
They kill it and then the horror starts. The slow horror of that nightmare tree as it controls them. Cassie desperately warning them, Neph staring out towards the ruined city, even if she cant see it. Sunny sees neph down so he goes to help her by getting her some of the fruit and he finds a skeleton, freaking out and cutting his hand it causes him to remember everything.
He gets to cassie who uses her aspect to tell him about the new attribute which helps him snap out of it. He then goes to Neph and gets her to build a boat for "fun" and he tricks them into entering it and they sail off onto the balck sea and towards the city. They get attacked, sunny saves cassie and nehp scares off the corrupted horror. The three sit on the statue for a day when neph wakes up and sees the ruined city.
The three meet effie! She leads them to the outersettlement. Sunny and cassie pay to stay in the castle and see how horribly corrupt it is with Gunlaug I charge. Neph meanwhile takes what will be her base of operations and starts her speechs. She didnt do that many speeches. I note healer roll her eyes. Sunny and cassie leave the castle and they first go to effie who blows them off then.... me!
I grab healers hand and we look at eachother hyped. Healer opens the door, looking, not the most accurate, and the movie version is so much meaner. Movie me slowly gets up looking the three up and down and then blows them off with a scoff. Neph fights the corrupt pathfinder.
Using that she gets effie and me in her cohort. Effie laughs about it loudly in the movie. Movie me slowly tilt their head with a soft and vague
"oh is that so? How.... truly interesting"
I laugh a little at that, wow they make me so scary. Also I wasn't there when it started i was hunting and I came back to them talking but whatever. Then caster joins the cohort and..... I start shaking trying not to laugh- holy shit oh my god, a love triangle with him, sunny and neph. Healer gives me a weird look. Leaning over whispering
"What?"
"Cast and, oh my god this is gold."
She doesn't seem to find it quite so funny but still she does snort at it. The month goes by in a montage, cassie handing out food, sunny being the only one with self preservation, effie making jokes and jabs at almost anyone, caster having world's funniest love triangle, neph giving way way too many speeches and movie me being ominous in the background with healer.
Who looks dismayed by her portrayal
Soon the fight appears. Sunny and neph argue about the death toll of killing Gunlaug and sunny leaving crying. I doubt it was that dramatic. Although I wouldn't be shocked those two always had something romantic going on. That whole shadows and light thing was cool and all.
There's a flash foward a few months showing neph feeding and inspiring the outersettlement while sunny hunts alone. It stops when sunny saves Kai from a well.
The whole thing is played as a joke, with sunny having no clue about anything popular and Kai dismayed and using terms he doesn't know. Yeah, that did happen a few times. Sunny has a meeting with the cohort, Kai joins the cohort. Sunny trains with effie in his weird little shadow cave.
The outing to the first lord death site begins with them fighting through the skeleton army. Thats when movie me shows off divine flame a massive beast of a fallen demon who decimated the skeletons
"oh... I do hate that I had to show one of my cards so early."
God damn they played me being scary up. Healer nudges me with a grin
"Oh look at that you being so villainous"
"You arent much better."
The group goes through the labyrinth with a montage, my character seems on edge the whole time while going through the spiders den, and we jump onto the statue of the builder. The horrid flying freak fight happens and movie me gets the stained glass cloak.
I hear a few cheers that I get a little embarrassed by. One of my most waited for scene happens, the clash between the moving statue and the depth dweller. I'll have to give some real massive compliments to whoever did the CGI for this because it looks out of this world and the music is just too accurate for the scene.
It shows the titanic battle between the two almost too accurately. Then the tense run from the fog and the first lords death site. Its a somber moment showing the horror of the forgotten shores.
"Not even a hero so great could survive this place, the fight will be hard, it will cost lives. In the end this is a fight us awakened have to take"
That felt a bit sappy but okay.
Then the spire messenger fight. Cool cool, they made divine flame too strong but at least they make the right person kill the damn thing. Movie me asks for the claws and iron feathers and when asked why says
"Why does anyone want anything"
Goodness they went overboard with making me scary. I nudge healer
"I wonder what the fans will think"
She glances over confused then she goes back to watching the movie. After the cohort finds out the harsh and horrid truth of the crimson spire, and of the so called heros of the forgotten shores.
The cohort get back to the city. They arrive to sunnys little abode first, they stay while I go back to the city. Its played as this ominous scene but in real life I had went back to get all of the soul shards I left.
When the cohort get back to the city I join them, when the guards come to get effie the whole outersettlement comes as well, movie me starts dropping swords, spears and other weapons, that explains why I had asked for the stuff.
People pick them up as they pass. The Gunlaug fight happens. The Civil War breaks out and my character gets close with caster, too late in the timeline but okay. Thats when the back story is revealed, my original cohort died due to the bright castles negligence and I had sworn vengeance.
Thats how it happened i guess. I feel healer grab my hand and squeeze it. Im fine, I do hear some soft sobs from the audience, I guess it was well acted. I dont remember much from that time so I cant say much.
The final fight of the Civil war is about to happen the song betrayal happens stopping it and..... they put movie me as the one who teamed up with the song princess?????
"Heh?"
She nudges me. Okay ill be quiet but that isnt what happened. I wasn't in cohoots with song, changing star was. The dreamer army soon leaves, burning the castle in the process. They march through the labyrinth killing all in the way. Cool cool.
The crimson spire fight starts and.... its accurate but its beyond disrespectful, playing hopeful music in a moment of such death. The waters start rising as sunny barely gets the keys in on time. Then the sun goes red, caster grabs me and sunny rings the silver bell and as hopeful music plays whats left of the dreamer army runs.
They get to the crimson spire and changing star leaves to go fight the fallen terror. Sunny is left to guide the dreamer army to the gate, and its portrayed well, I think, I dont remember much from that. The new soul core forming hurt too much. In the movie I had gotten hit with a soul attack. The dreamer army gets away but shes forced to stay.
She leaves the spire looking up in the sunless sky with a broken sword
"as long we dont give up theres hope"
I hear crying and clapping from the audience so at least some people likes the ending. I look over at healer
"so that was fun right?"
"Oh hell no, your stupid reputation ruined me again"
Soon Kai appears on stage and so do I. We both give our lines applauding the director. Then I run off to go check with everyone as kai does a QNA.
"So what did you all think?"
sunny and caster slowly turn to look at me
"Damnation, why am I in a love triangle with that pompous bastard!"
"I'd ask the same, just less like a barbaric fool"
Effie laughs
"hey they got me pretty good. But what did you think ■■■■"
I grin under my helmet
"I loved it. Movie me was the funniest. I mean why where they so ominous, and me working with song, who came up with that"
I laugh. Caster shakes his head slowly, but i see him trying not to smile
"only you could find a portrayal of you so bad funny"
Sunny shoots him a look
"Oh wow, so you-"
I pull caster off
"Let's go cast, healers waiting and I dont trust you and sunny to not kill eachother"
He lets me pull him over to where healers sitting who does a double take at caster being with me
"Well. Hello, i am guessing you are that healer that ■■■■ hired"
"Yup. And you're han li caster."
I sit down healer gets up
"I'll sit next to them."
"You already have a seat. You dont need another, ill sit next to awakened Heat seeker"
While the two most passive aggressive people i know are going at it i start stealing healers food.
I hear the screen writers voice announce sunny being at that table with effie and caster uses that to take the seat next to me.
"Hey!"
Healer slaps my hand away from her food then she shakes it in pain. Caster scoffs as he takes my hand
"Goodness i can't see why you would hire such a individual"
"And I dont see why you would be friends with this guy"
She sits down pulling her food out of reach. She looks it over with slight annoyance. Im guessing she's a bit annoyed at my theft
"So cast, what else did you think of the movie other then the silly love triangle?"
He lets go of my hand "well, the acting was quite nice, the character weren't the most accurate. Mostly yours, they made you far too sinister. Nothing like the real thing"
I laugh
"Oh come on it was so l funny to see me acting so scary and ominous"
Healer scoffs
"Yes not funny that it bled over to me"
Caster gives her quite the look.
"I think the protrayal of you was quite accurate"
I lean back
"Oh the girlies are fighting" they both give me a look
"What? You two are passive aggressive as hell"
He straightens up his expression
"well. Other then the protrayal of you I think it was quite accurate. You mentioned before how you helped out i have no doubt your help elevated the film"
Healer scoffs
"Okay pretty boy, whats your game plan here. What do you want from ■■■■?"
He keeps a straight face but hes clearly annoyed
"I dont want anything from them."
He turns to face me
"I would like to invite you to my clans stronghold within the waking world before your second nightmare"
Healer scoffs
"Oh im sure they could go after, their going to beat their second nightmare no problem"
"Of course they are, I know that. Its just that a second nightmare is such a big event in someone's life."
I slowly reach to steal more food. I notice healer noticing i try to pull my hand back. Caster grabs her hand before she can smack my hand
"No need to get violent over food is there?"
The two glare at eachother. I swear the two are about to get into a fist fight, I could totally film it
"Awakened Heat seeker!"
One of the main writers is at our table. When had he gotten here?
"Oh hello again. It seems my input helped make the movie quite a bit"
He seems to be almost sparkling
"Yes it in fact did! Not just was you and awakened sunless's report the whole idea of the movie, but your input about exact events shaped the movie heavily. If it wasnt for you and him the movie simply wouldnt exist"
Caster looks over with a smile, healer scoffs
"Why did you make me so evil?"
He looks over at her confused
"I'm Heat seekers healer. You made me some ominous villain. I swear that was the worst part for me"
He gets all embarrassed
"I wasn't asked about you so everyone took the rumors about you and ran with them"
"Aw, yes maybe I should have asked about such a thing, i mean you and awakened Heat seeker are so close after all"
Caster keeps his polite expression but seems a bit annoyed
"And might I ask what is up with.... the clear love triangle?"
He tilts his head
"it was only right. From a writing perspective of course"
"of course."
We talk for a while soon we have to all leave i promise to go to casters compound before the second nightmare. Then sunny, effie and I go a cool lounge, also theres another person there. Shes pretty short too. He looks at us guilty
"Well uh, it wasn't that was it?"
"It was fine, I wouldn't watch again but thats only because I experienced the real thing"
I speak up
"I think the music choice at the crimson spire was disrespectful as hell. Portraying a event full of such death as hopeful was not a good call."
Kai looks at sunny with a nervous chuckle.
"what about you?"
Sunny shrugs
"I dont mind, actually i am happy to be protrayed as a love sick fool."
"Really?"
"Its easier to fool people who think your the fool. So i dont mind"
Kai looks away
"Anyways you dont have to worry too much actually. These types of films are usually made to boost public morale. No one is going to take them seriously even mundane people understand the difference between reality and fiction when it comes to the awakened"
Sunny laughs
"Sure when they want to"
I stuff my face with chips, I start zoning out eating.
Later sunny confirms cassie is joining us and we have to move the window to fall and not winter. It doesn't matter much anyways.
"I'll ask saint white feather if she can move you to the chained isles."
Kai nods with a smile. The girl looks confused and I zone right back out going back to slowly snacking.
Soon we go home and I get into the sleeping pod for the first time since I got back to the waking world after the sky below. This time will simply go better, I won't be with sunny after all.
