What do you mean?" Seth said, looking at Leo.
Leo stepped forward, anger clear in his eyes.
"Seth, don't act innocent. You know exactly what you did."
Seth smirked slightly.
"Oh… I see. This is about the project, isn't it?" he said calmly.
"But it's mine now, Leo."
Leo clenched his fists.
"How dare you?!"
Seth laughed softly and walked closer.
"How dare me?" he said.
"You should ask yourself that. Do you know how frustrated I was in the past… because of your father?"
Leo frowned.
"What do you mean? What did my father do to you?"
Seth's expression darkened.
"I hate remembering this," he said.
"But because of your father, our company almost collapsed."
Leo stood still, shocked.
"No one wanted to work with us," Seth continued.
"Your father told everyone we weren't trustworthy. We suffered… a lot."
He looked directly at Leo.
"My father almost lost everything. And I had to watch him struggle."
Seth's voice turned cold.
"Then one day… we heard about your father's incident."
Leo's eyes widened.
"And after that," Seth smirked,
"your company started falling apart."
He leaned closer.
"It was the perfect time."
Leo's breathing became heavy.
"I saw that no one wanted to help you," Seth continued.
"It was… fun, watching your company suffer."
Leo's anger exploded.
"You—!"
"So I decided to help," Seth said casually.
"I made your precious Mr. Miles trust me… and look what happened."
He chuckled.
"He sent you… and you gave me the project files."
Seth shook his head.
"That was really foolish of you."
Before Seth could say anything more—
Leo grabbed him and shoved him hard.
"How dare you talk about my father like that!"
Seth fell to the floor.
"Security!" Seth shouted.
Leo tried to punch him, but guards rushed in and held him back.
"Let me go!" Leo yelled.
Seth stood up slowly, adjusting his clothes.
"You've lost your mind," he said coldly.
"Throw him out."
The guards dragged Leo outside.
Leo pushed them away angrily.
"Don't touch me!"
He got into his car and drove off in the heavy rain.
Inside, Seth smirked.
"How dare he come here and behave like that…" he muttered.
"Sir, are you okay?" a guard asked.
"I'm fine," Seth replied.
"Leo and Werren… they're more interesting than I thought."
On an empty, rain-soaked road—
Leo suddenly stopped his car.
The headlights cut through the darkness.
He leaned forward, resting his head on the steering wheel.
"…What am I supposed to do now?" he whispered.
Rain hit the windshield hard.
"Seth betrayed us… betrayed Father… everyone…"
His voice trembled.
"What will Father think when he finds out…?"
He clenched his fists.
"Dad gave everything to rebuild that company…"
Tears filled his eyes.
"And what did I do…?"
Leo shut his eyes tightly.
"Werren was right… I should have listened to him."
His voice was filled with regret.
"I was so stupid to trust Seth…"
The next day—
Leo arrived at the company.
"Rayan, do you know when Father is coming back?" he asked.
Rayan shook his head.
"I'm sorry, sir. I don't know."
Leo sighed and walked into his cabin.
"When will he come…" he muttered.
Just then, his phone rang.
It was Mr. Miles.
Leo quickly answered.
"Hello, Father—"
"I know," Mr. Miles said calmly, but there was sadness in his voice.
"It's about Seth, isn't it?"
Leo froze.
"Werren was right," Leo said.
"Seth is not someone we could trust—"
"Yes," Mr. Miles interrupted softly.
"I know everything."
Leo's eyes widened.
"He took our project… and claimed it as his own," Mr. Miles said.
"I know, Leo."
There was silence.
Then Mr. Miles spoke again, his voice heavy with regret.
"I should have trusted Werren. He warned me many times… but I thought he just disliked Seth."
Leo listened quietly.
"It's my fault," Mr. Miles continued.
"I shouldn't have asked you to give those files to him."
Leo quickly shook his head, even though he was on the phone.
"No, Father… please don't blame yourself. I should have thought twice."
Mr. Miles sighed.
"Leo… I need you to come here tomorrow."
Leo was confused.
"Why aren't you coming back here?"
There was a pause.
"…No," Mr. Miles said.
"There's something I need to do first."
Leo's heart felt uneasy.
"…Alright, Father. I'll come."
"Good," Mr. Miles said softly.
"Take care."
The call ended.
Leo slowly lowered his phone.
Something didn't feel right.
