Chapter three.
The sweet promises
Daniel began acting more romantic than ever, he surprised Arianna with dinner , gift, and loving messages. I want to marry you someday he told her one evening, Arianna heart was filled with excitement. She couldn't hide it but smiled. But her friend Sarah wasn't convinced. "There's something about Daniel i don't trust"
Arianna frowned. You're imagining things Arianna said. Maybe Sarah said carefully, but sometimes people hide things a lot. Daniel is different Arianna dismissed the warning. After all Daniel has promised me forever.
Chapter four
The first lie.
One night Daniel told Arianna he had to travel for work. " I will be gone for two days, I know you will miss me Daniel said. But I promise to get you a gift. They both smiled. The next day , Sarah called Arianna ". I just saw Daniel she said. What? Her heart raced. But when Daniel returned she confronted him, and he laughed gently. That was a business meeting, he explained. Arianna believed him and they both smiled and laughed as usual.
Chapter five.
The illusion
life returned to normal. No suspects. Daniel continued being affectionate and charming, they attended parties together, took photos and looked like the most happiest couple in the world. They had commented on their social media handles and all Arianna was doing was talk about her man when with friends.
Smith watched closely from the background. One day he asked Arianna. Do you trust Daniel completely?? " of course " Arianna replied. Smith hesitated. Sometimes… people only show us the version of themselves you want to see. Arianna didn't like the way that sounded and walked away.
Chapter six
Cracks in the mirror.
Slowly Arianna started noticing things. Daniel guarded his phone more carefully, and stayed out late. He avoided some certain questions. One night Arianna saw a message flash phone screen. " I miss you ". But when she asked about it Daniel quickly deleted it. " you're overthinking he said ". Arianna tried to ignore the uneasy feelings growing in her chest. She thought for a while what Sarah and smith had asked and talked about. But her thoughts were easily distracted by Daniel dancing around her.
Chapter seven
The discovery.
One evening when Daniel was showering. Arianna phone rang. It's was an unknown caller "Hello ". She answered. Are you Daniel's girlfriend? Arianna froze. Yes who's this she asked with curiosity. There was silence then the woman said something that changed everything. " I'm his fiancée".
Chapter eight
The Confrontation
Arianna waited for Daniel to leave the bathroom, her hands were shaking. Who is lily?? She asked. Daniel's expression changed instantly. For a moment he looked caught. But then he sighed dramatically. " she's someone from my pass ". He said. " She believed him once again.
