The rooftop lights suddenly went out, and darkness swallowed the entire building. For a few seconds nobody spoke. The city noise below continued as usual, but up there everything felt strangely silent and tense. Then Rayan's nervous voice broke the silence. "Okay… please tell me this blackout is part of someone else's experiment." Before anyone could answer, a powerful gust of wind exploded across the rooftop. The air twisted violently behind them and a massive Dream Rift suddenly opened in the darkness. This time it was far bigger than before. The swirling energy inside it glowed with deep blue lightning and strange shadows moved within the portal.
Aarav felt a sudden pressure inside his head. It was like invisible strings were pulling his thoughts toward the Rift. Strange whispers echoed in his mind. Come closer… Dream Walker… Aarav grabbed his head in confusion. "Do you hear that?" he asked weakly. Meera immediately stepped closer. "Hear what?" Aarav looked toward the portal. "The voices…" Zippu suddenly turned toward the Rift, his glowing body freezing in the air. "Oh no," he whispered. Rayan looked at him nervously. "What now?" Zippu stared at Aarav. "This isn't a normal Rift. Something from the Dream World is trying to pull him inside."
Before anyone could react, a powerful force dragged Aarav forward across the rooftop. "AARAV!" Meera shouted. Rayan quickly grabbed Aarav's arm to stop him from being pulled into the portal, but the force was too strong. "WHY IS GRAVITY WORKING AGAINST US?!" Rayan yelled in panic. Blue lightning suddenly flashed inside the portal with a loud crack. For a moment the swirling darkness cleared and everyone could see something on the other side. A giant dark city filled with floating towers, glowing bridges, and a storm-filled purple sky stretched endlessly in the distance.
"The Dream World…" Aarav whispered in shock.
Zippu shouted urgently, "DON'T LOOK TOO LONG!" But it was already too late. Something inside the Rift noticed Aarav staring at it. Deep in the darkness, two enormous glowing eyes slowly opened. A cold voice echoed through the portal. "So you finally see my world…" Aarav felt the ground trembling beneath his feet as the voice continued speaking. "Come closer, Dream Walker. Let us meet properly."
Rayan shouted toward the portal, "Yeah, no thanks! We prefer Earth!" Suddenly a giant dark hand made of smoke burst out of the Rift and tried to grab Aarav. But before it could reach him, Zippu suddenly exploded with bright golden light. A powerful blast of energy pushed the shadow hand backward and shattered it like glass. The shockwave threw everyone across the rooftop. Rayan crashed into a metal water tank and groaned in pain. "Okay… now I believe you're not a potato."
But Zippu didn't laugh this time. His glowing eyes were fixed on the portal. Something was wrong. Very wrong. The Rift wasn't closing. Instead it was growing bigger. Meera stared at it in disbelief. "That's not possible…" Suddenly heavy footsteps echoed from inside the portal. Slow. Powerful. Something was walking out of the Dream World.
Rayan whispered nervously, "Why do villains always enter dramatically?"
A tall shadow slowly stepped out of the Rift. It wasn't a monster or a beast. It was a warrior. Black armor covered its entire body like living shadow and its eyes glowed with deep purple light. In its hand it held a long dark blade that seemed to absorb the light around it. The figure looked directly at Aarav and spoke in a calm voice. "The Shadow King has waited long enough."
Zippu floated forward protectively. His voice became serious. "That's a Shadow Hunter." Rayan blinked in confusion. "…That sounds illegal."
The warrior slowly raised its blade and pointed it directly at Aarav. "I have one mission," it said coldly. "Bring the Dream Walker to the King."
For a moment nobody moved. Then Rayan whispered nervously, "Aarav… bad news." Aarav looked at him. "What?" Rayan swallowed. "…I think the boss fight just started."
Suddenly the Shadow Hunter vanished. In the next second it appeared directly behind Aarav. The blade moved with terrifying speed. But before it could strike, Meera suddenly stepped forward and caught the blade with her bare hand.
Everyone froze.
Even the Shadow Hunter.
Rayan's jaw dropped. "Okay… since WHEN can you do that?"
Meera slowly lifted her head. Her eyes were glowing with the same blue energy as Aarav's. Zippu whispered in shock, "That's impossible…"
"Two Dream Walkers?"
The Shadow Hunter slowly stepped back, confused for the first time. And somewhere deep inside the Dream World, the Shadow King stopped smiling. Because something unexpected had just happened.
