Chapter 8 - dragon teeth armour

Maanas Dev smiles and says, "Well then, it is time to destroy this Demons' Fortress." Calming down a bit, he steadies himself, causing the entire surrounding environment to become completely still. He says, "Who exactly is that boy who gave you this information?"

Rakesh Khurana replies, "That boy is sitting with the Head Manager. He says he is someone from our family. If you command, I can call him and bring him here."

Maanas Khurana says, "No, no, this is our family's secret. We cannot allow just anyone to come here. Take us to him."

Rakesh and Maanas Khurana head towards the Head Manager's building.

Meanwhile, when Dev sees the Head Manager's reaction, he says to himself, "I thought so; this Demons' Fortress is no ordinary thing." He tells the Manager, "I can only tell you the location of that place if you agree to some of my conditions."

Hearing this, the Head Manager says, "What exactly are your conditions?"

Dev says, "First—you must keep one Cultivator with my father for protection. Second—my father's poison must be treated. Third—I need a powerful armor. And fourth—I will also go with you to the Demons' Fortress."

The Head Manager is slightly taken aback hearing these conditions. He says to Dev, "The other conditions are fine, but keeping a Cultivator and a magical armor—for this, I will need permission from the family Elder."

Just then, a resounding voice comes from beyond the gate, "Permission granted!"

The Head Manager looks towards the door. He thinks, "Who is this trying to be so rude in the middle of such an important meeting?"

But as soon as his eyes fall upon the two individuals standing outside the door, sweat appears on his forehead. He quickly leaves his chair and stands up.

Meanwhile, when Maanas Dev and Rakesh Khurana reach near the Head Manager's cabin, they overhear Dev's conditions. They get anxious thinking that the Head Manager might refuse Dev's condition. After all, all these things were nothing for the Khurana family. He quickly enters the room, saying, "Permission granted."

Like a junior officer, the Head Manager approaches Maanas Dev Khurana, bows before him in greeting, and says, "There was no need for you to trouble yourself so much. If you had just said the word, I would have brought them to you myself."

Hearing this, Maanas Dev Khurana waves his hand and tells the Head Manager, "Never mind, now that I am here, I wish to speak with them myself."

Maanas Dev Khurana looks towards Dev and Som Khurana, then fixes his gaze upon Dev and says, "Young man, this must be your first time here. Come, let me show you around and tell you about the arrangements and conditions here. We can talk as we walk."

Dev rises from his seat and bows respectfully to Maanas Dev. Seeing this, a smile appears on Maanas Dev Khurana's face.

The five of them exit from there, leaving the Head Manager's building, and start walking towards a park.

Maanas Khurana says, "You should have told us earlier. If that were the case, we would have definitely tried our best to save your father."

Dev says, "If you agree to all four of my conditions, then I am ready to tell you the location of that place." Maanas Khurana tells the Head Manager standing nearby to bring the Dragon Tooth Armor. The Manager is astonished. He says to himself, "Dragon Tooth Armor? Will that be alright? Its material is very rare to find, and creating it requires many ingredients." He bows his head and steps back.

He was indeed going to bring the Dragon Tooth Armor. This is a White Grade Armor. In weapon ranking, it was on the white rank; the lowest level armor is of the Green rank. In the ranking hierarchy, above Green comes Yellow, above Yellow comes Red, and above Red comes White.

After half an hour, he returns to Maanas Khurana with the Dragon Tooth Armor.

Maanas Dev Khurana takes the thin, white bone armor from the Head Manager's hands and hands it over to Dev. Receiving this armor, Dev feels a sense of satisfaction within himself. This was another step towards his revenge.

Dev says to himself, "How strong will this armor be? Is it good?"

The System says, "This armor can even withstand an attack from the person standing before you. And ordinary humans cannot even penetrate it."

Hearing this, Dev is amazed—just how powerful is this Maanas Dev Khurana standing before him?

"Don't look at me like that. Now that you are going with us to the Demon Fortress, you will see everything there."

Dev is slightly startled—can this person read minds? That shouldn't be possible. He thinks to himself, "No, he cannot read my mind. He must have read my facial expressions or body language." After hearing Maanas Dev Khurana's words, Dev puts on a calm look on his face.

Maanas Dev says, "So what if you are from our side family? Now can you give us the map?"

Dev, calming down a bit, says, "No, you haven't healed my father yet."

Hearing this, Maanas Dev asks for his father's illness report. After looking at the report, he says, "These symptoms and details point to one thing—your father has been fed an Energy Collector Pill.

Actually, this pill helps a Cultivator form their core, where one has to maintain energy by consuming many herbs. But this same medicine can drain all the energy of a normal human, sending them into a coma. Due to half the energy, his core won't form either, and due to lack of energy, he could also slip into a coma."

"We can do this much: help him with his core formation. If he can form a core, he can recover and take a step forward—become a First-Step Cultivator. And his lifespan will also increase by 10 years."

Hearing this, Dev was about to feel happy when Maanas Khurana spoke again,

"However, while this is easy for a Cultivator to do, your father is a common man who has never done Cultivation before. You can only feed him nutrients from another world, and teach him a simple method of doing some Cultivation. If he succeeds in doing this and manages to form his core, only then can your father recover."

Dev becomes a bit worried, because currently he did not have any Cultivation technique. And Maanas Khurana could only delay his father's slip into a coma by one year by giving him some things from another world. But if his father did not practice with a proper Cultivation technique, he would not take responsibility for saving him either.

Now Dev had a problem—he needed even more items from another world, and also a Cultivation technique that would help his father with core formation.

Maanas Khurana said, "The Cultivation technique of the Khurana family can only be cultivated by the inner members of the Khurana family. One must have a specific fraction of Khurana family blood in them; otherwise, no one can practice this technique. So forgive me, I cannot teach you that technique."

Dev thinks, "If I learn the Demon Body Art, surely I can help my father with core formation." Dev was upgraded; to obtain the Demon Body Art for himself.

Just then, Disha's voice comes from the System, "You cannot teach your father the Demon Body Art."
