Something was wrong the moment I stepped into the estate that evening. The sun was setting, and the skies would be dark in a mere hour. But my nostrils flared as I didn't feel the bond lock into pace. Sienna. Where was she?
I glanced at the garage,my lips curling into a frown slightly. Four cars sat there, and I growled.
Sunset bled orange and red through the high windows of the garage, throwing long shadows across the empty space like a taunt.
I turned sharply and strode back toward the main hall. A guard straightened the moment he saw my expression.
"Where is she?" I demanded.
The guard swallowed. "Out on a drive, Alpha."
Of course she was, I thought. One of my cars was missing! I wasn't looking for that kind of answer. My gaze darkened and he stepped back, being as if to assuage my anger.
"When did she leave?" I demanded.
"Late afternoon. She requested to leave the estate. We advised her to take a vehicle per your instructions."
My jaw tightened.
