Pov Josiane...
(After attending all her classes, Josie felt completely drained.
The day had been long and confusing. She walked back slowly through the campus, passing the noisy canteen and the glowing corridor lights, until she finally reached her hostel.
When she opened the door, she noticed her roommate was already there.
The girl was sitting on her bed, quietly reading a book.)
Josie gave a small smile.
"Hi…" name ...
The girl looked up for a moment.
"Hmm. Hi." Kaela
You r Josiane right as Josie ..
How do she knows my name even my nickname..
Yeah but how do u know
Ohh I just saw by the registration register by signing the entry and asked but u like I think I should know about the one with whom I am living with right ?..
Yeah ofcourse
I can call u by your nick name cause I think u made it official because it has been registered also ...
Yeah why not ...
The room felt strangely silent again.
Josie freshened up and lay on her bed, staring at the ceiling.
Something about her roommate felt distant… like she was normal, yet hiding something.
Her eyes drifted toward the book in the roommate's hands.
Josie froze.
That book… it looked exactly like Cain's book.
Same dark cover. Same old design.
A strange feeling ran through her chest.
The roommate — Kaela— noticed Josie looking and quickly closed the book.
"What?" Kaela asked softly.
"N-nothing," Josie replied.
But it didn't feel like nothing.
It felt like she was trying to hide it.
Next Morning....
Josie woke up feeling uneasy.
She stepped outside the hostel and suddenly saw Noa — the girl she met in the canteen on her first day.
"Oh hey Noa smiled. "Let's walk together."
Josie felt relieved and nodded.
They walked through the quiet campus paths, talking lightly.
Then suddenly—
Everything went dark.Everything suddenly turned black.
Not like night.
Not like a power cut.
It felt heavier… like darkness had weight.
Josie couldn't see her hands.
Couldn't hear the classroom.
Couldn't even feel the floor beneath her feet
Her breath grew uneven.
"Hello?" she whispered.
No answer.
Then—
Soft footsteps.
Slow. Calm. Coming closer.
Her heart started pounding.
A faint silver glow appeared in the distance, like mist gathering into a shape.
Someone was standing there.
Familiar..
Josie tried to move but her body wouldn't listen
A voice came, low and clear—
"Don't trust what you see."
{ Linux }
The glow flickered.
And just as Josie tried to call his name—
Everything snapped back.
Lights. Noise. Students talking.
She was standing inside the classroom.
Noa laughing with her friends.
Teacher writing on the board.
Everyone normal.
Like nothing happened.
Josie slowly sat down, her hands still cold.
Was it a dream?
Or something only she could see?
Her eyes moved toward the window.
For a split second—
She saw Cain outside the building.
Watching her
And then he turned and walked away.
Josie's chest tightened.
Something was happening in this University.
And somehow ....
I was already a part of it...
"What is going on…?"
To be continued....
