The door flung open. ' There is chaos at the assembly. 'The general sends for you all' the messenger said. They quickly gave me each of the armour and I got ready for the assembly even though I still didn't know what to expect. As i bent to lace my shoes,I discovered that the armour had a different shade. The first armour given to me to practice with had red coloured designs. The ones I was given by the Warriors has a blue tone to it. It also felt much more lighter. 'Zhen, there's chaos,hurry!' I heard panicking in Shin Fei's voice for the first time. We all ran towards the arena,what we saw was shocking.
I beheld four creatures that were unimaginable, fiercely fighting against some Warriors with the highest ranking. They had claws like that of an Eagle.Their skins were tough like that of a crocodile. They could pass for a giant Toad but are more fearful in apearance.They poured venom on anyone they came in contact with. It was so brutal that the general had to invite the highest ranking mind coordinators.
Shin Fei was the leader of the group of seven. As they approached them,the other surviving Warriors moved away. Shin Fei took a stance for uninterrupted mind control. The other six followed her move. She stretches forth her arms in a cross and straightened her palms as she did so. Her eyes were closed and the very breeze around her become still.
Suddenly I saw two of the creatures become as limp as a leaf. It was so bad the other two tried to move them but they didn't move. One of the mind coordinators took his sword in a bid to cut off the head of the two creatures. While he made the move to do that,the other two,tried to stop him but as they tried to bring out their swords their hands for suspended mid air and so their swords dropped.
At that instance,four martial arts leaders,beat the two up till they could not so much as open their eyes. The bound them up in chains and dragged them a little further from the remaining two. I kept on observing the two and the effect of Shin Fei's coordination on them. She needed all the focus she could get and this was what the six created on her behalf. I could literally see what was going on in their minds. Each of them was removing the barriers in Shin Fei's mind and cleared a path each for her to follow through with the coordination.
Suddenly I saw one of them, slowly began to regain his strength. Something that has a resemblance to a horn started to grow on his forehead. As it grew,his strength became more stable and intense. He charged towards Shin Fei and struck her on her arms disrupting her 'Chi'. She lost balance both physically and in the realms of coordination. The other Warriors in our lodge ran towards her and carried her away from the field.
On seeing this,many of the Warriors were so disappointed. ' These beast were sent from the North to spy on us,yet we cannot overpower them' said of the Warriors. Another said ' I thought Wei Chen ought to be the protector of the Sea,where in the name of the Guardian of Lights is he?' As this conversation went on, the beast who was flexing his muscles trying to restore his counterpart started charging towards me. For a second,I was terrified and panicked terribly.
As he got closer to me,I had the urge to close my eyes,which I did. The next minutes were instructed to me by a voice that echoed from within me. I raised my hand circled it around my face, and brought it down to my waist. I felt a sword around my waistband,which I never knew I carried. I took it and I said some words I can't really remember. The sword lit up as though it was the full moon. I charged towards it and sliced through its stomach and pierced his chest with the sword. With that he fell to the floor with a loud screech and laid lifeless on the floor.
'Zhen has killed the beast. She powered the sword of lights.' a warrior screamed as she ran through the arena. I stood there surprised at what just happened. I had no clue of the 'swprd of lights'. I had no idea how it got to my waistband neither did I remember learning the words that ignited the sword. 'Wei Feng, escort Zhen to the royal chambers now's Cheng Fu instructed. 'You too,clear up the carcass and lock the others up. Wei Chen and the Queen will decide their faith on tomorrow' she continued.
The royal chambers were a little bit far from the arena and the lodge where we stayed. We needed to ride a horse down. As our horse galloped through a path the Warriors that saw us,paused,took a bow to us and continued on their way. This happened countless times before we finally got to the royal chambers. 'Wei Feng,why did all those warrior bow at your sight.' I asked. 'It's not me they bowed to,it's you'. 'For what reason!' I quizzed 'Everyone in the fortress know that you defeated the fiercest of the beast. There are many things that are yet to be revealed to yout'. Wei Feng answered.
The queen and Wei Chen were standing at the doorway as we arrived. 'Welcome,dear one'. The queen said. I replied 'Thank you,my queen'. We all went inside. There was set before our arrival,a table of different types of food. 'Eat as much as you can. You must be really tired and hungry' Wei Chen said. I felt something jump up in me at the sound of his voice. I most certainly will eat well now that I know he is okay. I imagined many things when I didn't see him at the arena. Now my fears are about all the mystery that I have zero explanation for. Where is the North and what did the beasts come to spy out? Why couldn't Shin Fei defeat them? How exactly did I defeat them? As though she read my thoughts, the queen said 'I will answer your questions after your meal'. I was shocked but eagerly looking forward to that.
