After the meal,the queen called me to herself and Wei Chen was present with her too. 'Zhen, I believe you have been curious about many of the happenings around you. I'll be explaining certain things to you. This is the Fortress of the Guardian of Lights. Outsiders refers to it as 'the Sea' or 'Fortress' There has been prophecies about a time when the chosen one would emerge. He would possess strength beyond what we've ever seen in the land. Wei Chen has been on the lookout for the fulfillment of the Prophecy. For a war is coming far beyond what we've ever experienced before. The northern emissaries had been trying to overpower the fortress. The last attack was the best ever and that was because Wei Chen was away.'
' The North has gotten word that we have found the Chosen One, that's the reason why those spies were sent'. Wei Chen inputted. ' We all believed the chosen one was going to be a male who would evolve amidst the warriors. The key pointers were unexplainable mastery of the levels of coordination and an intuitive unlocking of the highest level of martial arts'. he continued.
'Although you have not fully unlocked all the potentials that would confirm if you are the chosen one but there are other criterias that you have met, which I won't be able to tell you now'. the queen explained. 'There is no doubt that you are still in shock of all the new development. Just do this one thing, follow the instructions of Wei Chen and focus your mind on unlocking all your potentials. You are connected to us than you are aware of.' as the queen said this she took her leave of us.
Wei Chen looked at me trying to observe what was going on in my mind. I wish he could look into my mind and see the chaos welling up inside me. The more explanation I get the more confused I become. 'What if they are mistaken? What if my entrance was a misconception? The battlefield, only if I could remember how I got into the battlefield, there's a chance that all these will make more sense'. I thought to myself .
'Zhen' he called out to me. Overwhelmed by all that I have just learnt and experienced,I looked at him with tears forming on my eyes. He held out his hand reached for mine and embraced me. He said nothing more,just a gentle, continuous pat on my back and the humming of that same tune. It felt as though,he actually heard me but knew enough than to try to soothe me with words.At that instant,the tears flowed freely and I began to cry loudly.
In the midst of my tears I began to wonder,am I the one that was fearless before that beast. The one that unlocked many levels of coordination all at once is also the one crying like a child. In the embrace, I closed my eyes and I tried to forget it all and relish the moment. It seems I've crossed a path in my heart with Wei Chen. Today, again he is my safe place. I was too weak to remain awake. Faintly I could feel that I was being carried on a horse through a distance until the next thing I felt was the softness of the sheets on my skin.
Someone was hovering over my bed as I opened my eyes. Unlike the last time,I wasn't surrounded by warriors. I only saw a man sitted on a stool with a regalia I have never seen before amidst all the different houses. His scent was familiar but the regalia made me a little bit confused. 'Zhen, it's Wei Chen' the man said. 'Ah ah, I said it. But what is this you are wearing?. I quizzed. ' It is my 'out of Sea' attire' he said. 'Whao! It is very gorgeous'. I said. 'Take a look at your right side' he said. I did and behold,I saw an equally beautiful regalia, peach coloured. 'What's this for?'. I asked. ' We are going outside of the Sea. There are certain things I want to show you and someone you need to meet'. he answered. 'So,get ready'. He said.
A look in the mirror and I could almost get used to seeing me this beautiful. The attire was adorned with different embroidered images. From flowers to animals,it told a story I am yet to uncover. We set out on the journey and I almost forgot how far from home this place is. The journey was very relaxing. We saw many flowers blossoming. From roses to Meadows to sweet scented hibiscus, they were all so beautiful in their array. We got to a river bank and at its brink, Wei Chen halted the horse.
The sight was so beautiful I almost pleaded with Wei Chen to allow us stay by River longer than he had planned. There were horses by the river apart from the ones we brought. I had a closer look at some of the horses and I noticed that some had half of their bodies as human. It seems like these creatures have a name they are called but I could not recall it at the moment. I thought long and hard, before it finally hit me. 'Ah,ah, now I remember! Centaurs!' I exclaimed. 'These look more like baby centaurs' I thought to myself. 'You are correct, that's their general name. Although,here,just like humans,each one has his or her own personal name'. Wei Chen enlightened.
One of the Centaurs looked up from playing with her companions and exclaimed 'Look! it's Wei Chen!'. It was as though the entire River Bank erupted into a joyous commotion. Many tried to hug,carry,jump on him, amongst many other possible options they could imagine. For a moment there, I was invisible and I just took in the burst of energy and joy that those 'children' expressed. As they rejoiced,it was as though we were being led to a particular chamber a little further from the River Bank. We arrived shortly and what or is it who I saw welled up both amazement and fear inside me. At the sight,I began devising means of escape from this place.
