AT THE SAME TIME

The candles had barely stopped flickering when the air changed, not loudly, not dramatically. Aiden went quiet first.
"There it is." He said.
The doorway didn't slam open, it didn't need to, because people moved instinctively. Like something important had entered, but I didn't turn immediately, because I already knew.
"Heads up." Leo muttered, actually standing this time. "Incoming emotional damage."
Riko peeked and then immediately ducked behind Ben.
"I SAW MONEY AND TRAUMA-"He nearly screamed yet again.
"That's just nobles." Ben said calmly, stepping forward anyway.
Then I turned, and Rosalie stood at the entrance. Perfect posture, perfect control, and perfectly dressed like nothing in the world could touch her. Behind her, Charlie, who seemed tense, was watching everything like it was a battlefield, and Michael was already looking like he wanted to break something.
"You are kidding." Aiden sighed.
"No." I sighed.
