Chapter 13 - Chapter 13 — The First Harmony of Chaos Qi

The sun came up slowly. It shone light all over the forest. Dew stuck to leaves. The ground smelled of soil and smoke. It was very quiet. The forest was still. It looked like it was holding its breath after a fight. Lin Tian sat on the ground. His legs were crossed. His sword was on his lap. Sweat dropped from his head. His body hurt. Every move made him feel pain. He was very tired.

He felt something moving inside.

It was the Chaos Qi.

It was wild. It was like a storm in his chest. It was looking for a way. The day it had moved him without thinking. He just reacted to danger. Today… it moved with him. Not fully. Not yet.. It was alive.

Lin Tian closed his eyes. He took a breath. He moved his body. He stepped. He turned. He struck. His moves were not smooth. They were not pretty. They were just to survive. His heart beat fast. He breathed deep. His body moved with the Chaos Qi.

The energy was alive. It moved in his body. It tested him. It looked for a rhythm. Like an animal it went around him. It snarled. It waited to see if he could understand its move.

A soft voice talked in his mind. The system was always calm. It was always precise.

"User your energy is not stable. Do exercises. Focus on your breath and Qi."

Lin Tian breathed out slowly. Harmony. Not mastery. Not control. Just rhythm. Chaos needed rhythm. Even if it was jagged. Even if it was dangerous. He put his hands on the ground. He felt its firmness. He felt its connection to the world. He stepped. He turned. He breathed. He struck. His legs were like trees. His back was flexible. His mind was calm.

His sword vibrated a little. It was alive. Sparks jumped along the edge. They were fleeting. They were jagged. They were beautiful. The Chaos Qi flowed to it. It was like reaching for a friend.

Hours passed. Lin Tian did not notice. Sweat made his clothes wet. His muscles hurt. His body shook with tiredness.. Clarity came with the tiredness. He stepped. He turned. He breathed. He struck. He stepped. He turned. He breathed. He struck.

Then without warning a surge happened. The Chaos Qi moved violently. It was like lightning. It pushed against his will. His arms moved wildly. The sword jerked. His breath stopped. Pain flashed in his nerves.

The system warned him.

"Warning: Chaos Qi unstable. User not in control."

Lin Tian gritted his teeth. He let the surge pass. He did not fight it. He stepped. He turned. He breathed. He struck. Slowly he found rhythm again. He let the energy guide him.

For a moment harmony happened. It was jagged. It was wild. It was alive. It flowed through him.

He stood up. He was shaking. Sweat poured down. His muscles quivered. He looked at the man he had fought the day. The man was alive. A low breath escaped his lips.

Lin Tian approached him carefully. He looked at the man's bag. It was torn. Papers and scrolls fell out. One thing caught his attention. It was a book. It was leather-bound. It hummed with energy. He felt its resonance before touching it.

The book pulsed. It was like it knew him. Lin Tian's fingers shook as he opened it. Inside there were diagrams of Qi flow. They were jagged. They were harmonious. The techniques were like the surges of Chaos Qi he had learned.

The system whispered in his mind.

"Learning opportunity detected. Chaos Qi upgrade possible."

Lin Tian traced the diagrams carefully. Energy tingled in his fingertips. It coursed up his arms. It went through his body. Sparks danced along the sword. They were jagged. They were alive.

The book did more than teach. It resonated. His moves, the Chaos Qi and the system's calculations merged. They formed a rhythm. He stepped. He turned. He breathed. He struck. He stepped. He turned. He breathed. He struck.

For the time Lin Tian could guide the Chaos Qi. It obeyed partially. Sparks of energy jumped from his sword to the earth. They were wild. They were unpredictable.. They were harmonized to his moves.

The cultivator stirred. Lin Tian looked at him. No words passed. Power had spoken. Survival, instinct and Chaos Qi were a language.

Lin Tian closed the manual. The system alerted softly.

"Chaos Qi upgrade complete. Integration successful."

The sword thrummed. It was alive with the energy. The Chaos Qi was more than survival instinct. It was partially obedient. It was partially wild.. It was dangerous. It was alive. He stepped. He turned. He breathed. He struck. He stepped. He turned. He breathed. He struck.

The forest was still. Only the pulse, in him moved. It was jagged. It was alive. He was not just surviving. He stepped. He turned. He breathed. He struck. He stepped. He turned. He breathed. He struck.

The book had become a bridge. The system was a guide. The sword was a conduit. They channeled his Chaos Qi. They taught him to move with it. They shaped chaos into jagged harmony. He stepped. He turned. He breathed. He struck. He stepped. He turned. He breathed. He struck.

Lin Tian rose fully. He was exhausted. Sweat and blood mixed on his skin. Sparks still danced along the sword. The Qi pulsed with his heartbeat. It was jagged. It was untamed. It was alive. He stepped. He turned. He breathed. He struck. He stepped. He turned. He breathed. He struck.

He knew this was the beginning. Chaos Qi was dangerous. It was unstable. It was unpredictable. One mistake. It could hurt him.. The power… it was undeniable. He stepped. He turned. He breathed. He struck. He stepped. He turned. He breathed. He struck.

Tomorrow he would test the Chaos Qi more. He would move more. He would control more. He would take risk. He stepped. He turned. He breathed. He struck. He stepped. He turned. He breathed. He struck.

Today he had learned the first harmony. The first understanding. The first brush of power. It was alive. It was dangerous. It was his.

He stepped. He turned. He breathed. He struck. He stepped. He turned. He breathed. He struck.

The beginning had arrived.
