"My king I must apologize for the delay, I went to pick a few things for my children,"
Gilgamesh Sakkanakku responding quickly, "oh, please Aplahanda, we know you can't give birth, why don't you say, "your adopted children"
causing the entire kings hall to Burst into laughter.
" that's enough Gilgamesh!!", king Sargon Shouted, the king continued speaking, "tell me Aplahanda, what is your plan for our kingdom?
Aplahanda open his mouth to speak, "my King, since you have made me Sakkanakku over Venice, I intend to host one of the largest cultural day and afterwards, I will demand a day to host one of the largest trading days, where all country's that have shown us peace will come and trade with us".
"This is very amazing" the king said to Aplahanda Sakkanakku.
Looking at him mockingly was Gilgamesh.
The Israelite is Pacing all over his prison and talking to himself when one of the prison guard came in and said, "it s bread time" (stressing the time so long that it disgusted the Israelite) he then dropped their bread and turned to leave,
The Israelite stopped him and said "where is Ur-Nammu? I haven't seen him for some days now,"
the prison guard said, "mmmmm, well if you give me your bread i will tell you all about his whereabouts," the strange woman looked at him curiously while eating her bread in large chunks, The Israelite disgusted by her said, "yes you can take it"
"Yes!!" The prison guard shouted, Snatching the bread quickly from him and immediately, it landed in his mouth, large chunks.
he looked like a very desperate and thirsty Carmel, while having a large chunk in his mouth, making eating noises, so loud that it felt awkward.
he said, "well... Ur-Nammu... was summon... by one of the... Sakkanakku, (he then had a great swallow) he is planning a great festival for our cultural day"
"What does Nammu have to do with cultural day?" The Israelite asked the prison guard,
the prison guard said, "well he is there to select skilled men to post as guards during the cultural day, he is taking time to train them now,
the strange woman asks,
"Why iisn't Gilgamesh Sakkanakku responding to that task?" The prison guard looked at her, without saying a word to her, walks away in fear.
"Oh come on," the Israelite said, "why did you scare him of?"
"I didn't scare him," the strange woman replied.
"That's a lie, he is scared you are going to make him mad, why are you like this? Is this how you behave?, no manner of respect whatsoever? The Israelite responded quickly.
The strange woman quietly picks up another loaf of bread slowly taking it to her mouth why staring at the Israelite curiously, the Israelite, swallowing his saliva, cleared his throat, and said,
"can I have some?"
She wouldn't reply him with an answer, and she wouldn't stop staring at him as she ate her bread, after she was done, she said, "Ehhmmmm, do you remember that proverb Nammu said to you?"
The Israelite realizing where she was going with it, slammed himself to the ground and closed his ears, while talking gibberish to avoid listening to her.
She continued "anyways, a man with destiny will starve for it" She paused and spoke slowly, "you are lucky I can't laugh,"
The Israelite rolling his eyes in frustration sighed heavily, while forcing himself to sleep.
The strange woman said, "after the speech and death of kalumtum, I told you it caused a war within the people.
So many people stopped trusting the king and they felt like they deserved more.
I had asked you a question then, the truth is I do not know which side to pick, I do not know who is wrong or right, but I know one thing for sure, you can not please everybody no matter how hard you try.
People are worst than sheeps, they follow who can entice them and draw them closer to their lust. Here is the painful part, after you might have done that, they may suddenly hate you for causing them to run after their own desires."
The Israelite stopped pretending and looked at her as she continued.
"Here is the part you missed that I didn't say to you," She said, "Those that was caught by king Sargons men where killed, them and their families, I mean including their children, it was a painful sight..."
She shook her head in pity. "Israelite," she looked him dead in the eyes and spoke.
"Destiny will sometimes force you, it will force you so badly that you will be confuse, angry, sad even overwhelmed, because the gods and the people are counting on you, I know the craziest part, you are a stranger from far."
The strange woman scuffs.
The Israelite looked at her and said, "I do not know my destiny, neither do I have any memory, I remember you told me once that my destiny is to die.
How can I accept such a thing? But I refuse my destiny.
At some point I wanted to know it, I wanted to follow it, but it scares me now, for some reason, I do not want it, no matter how much it forces me, I will not yield!!"
He continued, his voice, emitting brokenness. "I am terrified, I do not have any memory.
What does the God of Daniel want from me? Or what does the gods require of me? I do not know, but I can say for sure that it is too heavy.
It terrifies me anytime I think or remember it. Do you know what it means when you said "all of Babylon to the ends of the earth is counting on me!? Even King Sargon of all Mesopotamia will not be in much trouble as I will be in..."
His voice broke and he began to cry.
The strange woman looked at him, in a quick thought to cheer him up, said, "i am still wondering how someone can sleep for 6 months."
He then laughed with tears in his eyes.
"you are lucky I can't laugh' the strange woman said.
The Israelite rolling his eyes said, "Oh please, let me be" and continued laughing.
