Leonard's hair was in the way of his view. He raised his right hand and pulled his hair back. His brown eyes reflected everything he saw.
The crowd looked at him in silence. This was the perfect chance for them to attack him, ridding the world of the traitorous family, but they didn't. Apart from the man letting out pained groans, it was quiet. They were simply too scared to make a move.
Leonard, at the end of the day, came from a family connected to a Class. Even if they were traitors, they were still once connected to a Royal family. The crowd weren't sure if Leonard had some power in him that could cause damage to them; this was also one of the reasons they had not killed Leonard until this day. They didn't know what would happen if they tried.
Leonard's brown eyes soon reflected the man moving around on the floor, grabbing his eye. A smile found its way onto Leonard's face. It wasn't a reassuring smile; it was the kind of smile that filled people with fear.
"You son of a bi*ch!" the man shouted while trying to stand up. Although he tried to hide it, he was obviously in immense pain.
Leonard glanced at his finger, which had blood on it.
"How dare you!" the man shouted, his voice sounding desperate. "How dare you attack me, you traitor!"
The man shouted while grabbing his eye, his voice a mix of anger, pain, and fear.
Boom!
"Urghh..." He let out another groan as he flew a few centimeters and landed on the hard, dirty ground with a bang. Leonard had kicked him in the stomach with force meant to kill.
Leonard didn't wait and rushed the man. The man was on the floor, gasping for air while trying to cover his injured eye from the cold wind.
Boom!
.Leonard, this time, kicked his head.
"Urghh..." The man let out a groan of pain. "I'm sorry," he muttered, but Leonard was unrelenting.
*Boom, boom, boom, boom.* Leonard continued to step on him. Blood was on his legs now, some reaching his face. The man was bleeding everywhere; tears could be seen on his face.
"S...top," he let out a barely audible voice, but Leonard didn't stop. Like a crazed person, he continued to step and step until he ran out of breath.
"Oh dear lord."
"He's... he's..."
The crowd watched it all unfold, not daring to interfere. Looking at the man's face, they couldn't hear him whimper in pain, nor could they see his stomach move. The sound of him breathing couldn't be heard, either.
"He's dead!"
Leonard had murdered the man by the time he stopped panting from exhaustion. He noticed that the man had a carved-in nose, his eye was punctured, and his jaw was pushed back. Blood was all over his face as well as saliva, making the scene disgusting. The man's blood was also on Leonard's leg and partially on his face as well.
"You demo—"
Before someone from the crowd could finish their sentence, Leonard was already upon them. The person moved to their right, avoiding Leonard, but Leonard extended his hand and grabbed someone to his right. It was a woman, possibly in her twenties.
Leonard tightened his grip on her neck, then kicked her stomach. She let out a pained groan, but Leonard didn't care. He lunged his two fingers at her eyes. She tried closing her eyelids, but this was inevitable as Leonard's fingers pierced her eyes.
"Urghh...!" She let out a loud, shrill scream.
But Leonard soon increased his grip on her neck.
'Die.'
With a dark light in his eye, he adjusted his hand and touched the girl's jaw, releasing his grip from her neck. She was relieved at this, but soon this relief faded. Leonard opened his mouth, which had some pointy teeth; with his fangs bared, he bit at her neck.
"Stop, you demon!" she shouted while hitting Leonard with her loose hands.
Leonard increased the force he applied, then pulled his teeth, tearing her flesh. Blood fell like a fountain from her neck as she soon started making weird noises. One knee dropped to the ground, then another, then she fell.
She had been killed.
The crowd gasped, watching Leonard commit his savage acts; they moved a distance away from him. Leonard just looked at them. His mouth was covered with blood.
"Ptui." Leonard spat out something soft.
'It's flesh!'
It was a piece of the girl's neck; it was covered with blood mixed with saliva.
'Demon!'
The crowd thought Leonard's first kill was brutal and cold, but tearing someone's neck with your own teeth—this was another level of brutality. Leonard's eyes reflected the crowd. He slowly opened his mouth, blood dripping out, and spoke.
"All of you shall die."
As he said this, a smile found its way onto his face. He showed his teeth, which were now red. The crowd stumbled slightly, looking at such a creature in front of them. With Leonard being outnumbered, it was obvious he couldn't win, yet he proclaimed that he'd kill them all.
"You're full of yourself!"
"I'll avenge my friend you killed, you fiend!"
"I'll kill you myself!"
The crowd soon regained their courage and started to throw insults at him. The fear they felt had been reduced; they were no longer panicking about Leonard possibly killing them. After all, Leonard was outnumbered.
'Say, Mother... why did you kill yourself? Was the discrimination too much? Father... why did you pick a fight with a noble, leading to your death?'
Leonard thought this while he looked up at the sky. His eyes looked crazed, his pupils dilated, but he strangely looked peaceful, as if he had found peace. The crowd was slowly circling him. At this point, he had killed two people; the caution they had for him was ignored now that he posed a significant threat.
Leonard looked at them approach him. His eyes reflected them clearly; he could see their features and could even hear their breathing and heartbeats.
!!!
The crowd suddenly moved back.
"His eyes!"
"Is this his hidden power?"
"Move away! He might be dangerous!"
