Hirav sat quietly beside Maggie, still thinking about how shy and innocent she was. The room was peaceful, and the soft silence of the night surrounded them. He picked up his phone and continued chatting with his closest friend, Rani—the one who always listened to every little story of his life.
"Yeah," Hirav typed, "but Maggie says, 'Hirav, I feel shy.'"
Rani immediately replied with excitement.
"My heart melts at this moment! Maybe you should whisper back, 'Shy with me?'"
Hirav smiled slightly and wrote again.
"Maggie says, 'Baby, I love you… but I feel shy sleeping with you.'"
Rani laughed softly through her messages.
"That's so adorable," she wrote. "You could say, 'I love you too… why be shy with me? I'm your boyfriend.'"
But things didn't go exactly that way.
Hirav soon sent another message.
"She didn't agree… and she fell asleep."
Rani teased him gently.
"So she avoided the question and went to sleep! Did you at least kiss her forehead while she slept?"
Just then something unexpected happened.
"Maggie suddenly woke up," Hirav wrote. "She asked, 'Why are you not sleeping?'"
Rani imagined the moment and joked again.
"She caught you staring at her! Maybe you should say you couldn't sleep because she was far from your heart."
Hirav, however, had already spoken honestly.
"I told Maggie, 'Please… I want to hug you and sleep with you.'"
The moment that followed was full of sweetness and awkwardness.
"When I took her into my arms," Hirav explained, "Maggie blushed and said, 'No, baby, no.'"
Even though she protested shyly, she didn't move away. She was still in his arms, her cheeks glowing with embarrassment.
Rani imagined the scene and asked curiously what happened next.
"She is still blushing in my arms," Hirav replied.
Then Hirav gently told Maggie something simple and true.
"Because I love you."
And after saying those words, he softly kissed her forehead.
For a moment everything felt quiet and warm.
But Hirav quickly stopped Rani from turning the moment into an exaggerated romantic story.
"No fake stories," he told her. "Maggie is just sleeping in my arms."
Rani smiled at that.
"That's even sweeter than any story," she replied.
The night continued peacefully until suddenly Maggie stirred in his arms.
"She's rubbing her head against me," Hirav messaged.
Rani guessed she might be waking up, but Hirav explained the real reason a moment later.
"No… it's still night. Maggie woke up and said sorry. She had a nightmare."
Maggie's face was still red with embarrassment as she apologized softly.
Feeling protective, Hirav hugged her gently and asked what had happened in the dream.
"She said someone took me away from her," Hirav wrote.
Hearing that made his heart soften. He held her a little tighter and reassured her quietly that he would never leave her.
Then he kissed her forehead once again.
Slowly Maggie relaxed. The fear from her nightmare faded, and the warmth of his arms made her feel safe again. Her cheeks were still slightly pink as she drifted back to sleep.
The night passed quietly after that.
By morning, sunlight began to enter the room through the window. Maggie was still resting peacefully in Hirav's arms, breathing softly, completely calm.
Hirav looked at her for a moment and smiled.
It had been a long, emotional night—full of shyness, innocence, laughter, and trust. And through it all, one thing remained clear: the gentle bond they shared was something pure and deeply meaningful.
