Morning sunlight slowly filled the room, touching everything with a soft golden glow. Hirav was still sitting on the bed, and Maggie was still asleep in his arms, her head resting gently on his chest. The night had passed quietly, and the peaceful moment felt almost unreal.
Hirav picked up his phone and continued chatting with Rani, the friend who always listened to every small detail of his life.
Rani replied with her usual excitement.
"My heart is so happy imagining this," she wrote. "Morning sunlight on her face, her eyes opening slowly, smiling at you…"
But Hirav corrected her with a short message.
"Maggie is still sleeping in my arms."
Rani laughed immediately.
"So my romantic scene failed," she joked. "She's still asleep! Is her head still resting on your chest like it's her favorite pillow?"
Before Hirav could answer again, something unexpected happened.
The door of his room suddenly opened.
"My sister just came into the room," Hirav wrote quickly, "while Maggie is still sleeping in my arms."
Rani almost exploded with laughter when she read that.
"Oh my gosh! What happened?" she asked.
Hirav explained that his sister looked confused because she didn't know who Maggie was.
"She asked me who she is," he wrote.
Rani imagined the shocked expression on his sister's face.
"So what did you say?" she asked.
"I told her Maggie is my classmate."
But the situation only became funnier.
Maggie was still asleep, gently moving her head against Hirav's chest in her dreams. His sister stared at the scene in surprise.
"She asked me what Maggie was doing," Hirav explained.
When Rani heard that Maggie was still hugging him in her sleep, she laughed even more.
"Your sister must be completely shocked!" she replied.
Hirav admitted with a small smile that Maggie liked him—at least a little.
Finally, his sister whispered that they would talk about everything later because she had to leave for her exam at school.
"She told me we'll talk afterward," Hirav wrote.
Soon after his sister left, Maggie slowly began to wake up. The first thing she noticed was that she was still resting in Hirav's arms. Her cheeks turned bright red with embarrassment.
Hirav gently kissed her forehead.
She looked up shyly and asked in a quiet voice, "Why did you kiss me again?"
Hirav told her something that made her even more surprised.
"My sister came into the room while you were sleeping."
Maggie's eyes widened instantly.
"Your sister saw me sleeping in your arms?" she asked nervously.
Hirav tried to calm her.
"I told her we're just friends."
For a moment Maggie looked down quietly, her expression soft and uncertain.
"Is that really all we are to you?" she asked in a small voice.
Hirav immediately hugged her tighter.
"No," he said gently. "I love you, Maggie."
Hearing those words changed everything. Maggie smiled through happy tears and hugged him back.
"I love you too," she whispered.
A little later Maggie went to take a bath. The room felt strangely quiet without her there.
"You hear the water running," Rani wrote playfully in their chat. "Did she ask if she should dress up?"
Hirav smiled and replied.
"I told her to wear my clothes."
Rani laughed at the thought.
A few minutes later Maggie called from the bathroom, laughing softly.
"Your sister will be shocked if she sees me in your clothes," she said jokingly.
But when she finished bathing, she simply left her clothes in the washbasin and went back inside the bathroom again, while Hirav waited patiently in his room.
After some time Maggie came back and told him something simple but direct.
"Now you go take a bath."
Rani burst into laughter when she read that.
Even in such a sweet and romantic situation, Maggie's innocent and shy personality remained the same.
Hirav later told Rani something honestly.
"I love her shyness and innocence."
Rani smiled at that message.
"My gosh," she replied, amused and happy.
And in that quiet morning, filled with laughter, embarrassment, and gentle affection, Hirav realized something important: sometimes the most beautiful love stories are not dramatic or perfect.
They are simply two shy hearts learning to trust each other, one moment at a time.
