"Are you sure?" Fujino Asagami looked at Touko Aozaki in surprise, not expecting her to say such a thing.
"I'm very sure." Touko Aozaki nodded decisively. She had made this decision after careful consideration. After all, Fujino Asagami was very strong. Having such a powerful backer was quite good for Touko Aozaki. Moreover, during their short time together, Touko Aozaki had decided that Fujino Asagami was a pretty good person.
"In that case, prepare to become mine," Fujino Asagami smiled and said, "Let's go. I'll start teaching you the method to listen to others' heart voices now."
"Really!" Touko Aozaki had been eyeing the ability to listen to others' heart voices for some time.
"The training is very hard. I hope you can persevere." Fujino Asagami looked at Touko Aozaki with a mysterious smile.
Touko Aozaki suddenly had a very bad premonition, but she didn't think too much about it. Later, Touko Aozaki regretted it.
In the Kuonji Mansion, Alice Kuonji sat on the sofa, looking extremely exhausted.
"What exactly is wrong with me?"
Alice Kuonji asked herself this, but she couldn't find an answer.
She just felt very strange. She had been out, and she remembered what happened after she went out, but she always felt like something was wrong. She couldn't put her finger on it. Moreover, her body felt an inexplicable sense of fatigue. She had checked her body but couldn't find anything out of the ordinary.
"Alice, I'm back!" An energetic voice rang out. Touko Aozaki's sister, Aoko Aozaki, walked in through the main door. Seeing the exhausted Alice on the sofa, she was very surprised. "Alice, what's wrong? Why do you look so tired?"
Alice didn't answer, only looking at Aoko Aozaki and saying softly, "Keep it down."
"Oh, Alice, you really are..." Although Aoko Aozaki said that, her voice indeed became much quieter. Having been with this friend on the sofa for so long, Aoko Aozaki was very familiar with her personality. Seeing Alice's current state, she had obviously encountered something.
"Alice, could you be sick?" Aoko Aozaki came to Alice's side and reached out, placing the back of her hand on Alice's forehead.
"Your forehead isn't hot either." Aoko Aozaki felt the temperature of Alice's forehead; it was clearly normal.
"Aoko, wait!" Alice suddenly discovered that a clump of magical energy that didn't belong to her had appeared in her body. Previously, Alice hadn't noticed the existence of this magical energy.
This unknown magical energy suddenly began to move rapidly within Alice's body. The energy split into two halves, and one half actually followed Aoko Aozaki's hand on her forehead and entered Aoko Aozaki's body.
"Alice, what's going on?!" Aoko Aozaki's expression changed, and she quickly withdrew her hand from Alice's forehead, but that magical energy had already entered her body.
"I don't know what's going on either." Alice's expression was also very unpleasant. She actually didn't know when someone had planted magical energy inside her. Recalling the entire day, Alice hadn't found anyone who had approached her. What exactly was happening?!
"It hurts!" Beside her, Aoko Aozaki suddenly cried out in pain. Alice quickly looked over, but the next moment, a burning sensation of pain also came from her own hand.
The pain came quickly and left just as fast. Aoko and Alice found that the magical energy that didn't belong to them had disappeared, but a strange purple-black mark had suddenly appeared on the back of their right hands. A dark and evil aura emanated from the mark.
"What exactly is this?!" Alice and Aoko said at the same time, their expressions both quite grim.
The marks on the backs of Aoko and Alice's hands suddenly glowed with a purple light. They felt a sudden heat surge through their bodies, but then nothing else seemed to happen. However, they soon discovered to their surprise that the magical energy within them had become much stronger than before. Both the quantity and quality of their mana had doubled. But what terrified Aoko and Alice was that a small portion of their magic circuits had actually vanished, and the remaining circuits were gradually dissipating as well. Meanwhile, their mana continued to increase, and even its color was changing, shifting toward a purplish-black hue.
Aoko was even more shocked to find that the magic crest she had inherited had also changed, turning completely purplish-black. However, she didn't notice any other functional changes to the magic crest; it seemed to have simply changed color.
"Alice, what's going on?" Aoko asked, looking toward Alice.
Alice shook her head with a grim expression. "I don't know either."
Although their mana had increased, Alice and Aoko couldn't bring themselves to be happy at all. What exactly were these marks on the backs of their hands? Why did they appear?
The unknown often brings unease.
On the other side, Fujino Asagami, who was holding a wooden stick and repeatedly striking at Touko Aozaki, revealed a slight smile.
"Plan accomplished."
