"An opening!" Although she didn't know what Fujino Asagami was happy about, Touko Aozaki couldn't resist throwing a heavy punch at her.
"Don't even think about a sneak attack." With a slight sidestep, Fujino Asagami dodged Touko Aozaki's fist and looked at her playfully. "In this world, there are basically very few who can hit me if I don't want them to, unless those Heroic Spirits release their area-of-effect Noble Phantasms."
After obtaining the Transcendence Evil Power, Fujino Asagami's mental strength had recovered and become even more powerful than before. She could now freely use the future-prediction aspect of Observation Haki. Just as she said, possessing the ability to see the future made her almost invincible in this Type-Moon World, unless she encountered a Heroic Spirit or another entity with similar abilities.
"You brat!" Touko Aozaki gnashed her teeth and glared at Fujino Asagami. "Why does this ability have to be trained like this?!"
"Ah." Fujino Asagami waved the wooden stick in her hand. "The beginning of this ability is to make one's five senses acute, allowing one to perceive the presence and emotional changes of surrounding living things. Predicting the future and reading minds only come at the end. So, dodging attacks is the most essential initial training."
"Then how long do I have to train for?" Touko Aozaki asked, looking at Fujino Asagami.
"That depends on your talent," Fujino Asagami laughed. Back then, with the help of the system, it had taken her ten years to reach the peak of Observation Haki, and that was inseparable from the fact that she had used pirates to hone her skills.
By conservative estimates, it would take Touko Aozaki at least fifteen years to reach a level of mastery in Observation Haki. If Touko spent those fifteen years constantly fighting others to train it, the time would be significantly shortened. After all, combat is the fastest way to make progress.
"Then what's the deal with Jibril!" Touko Aozaki looked at Jibril, who was watching the show from the side.
"Jibril is different from you," Fujino Asagami said, feeling a bit sentimental. In this short amount of time, Jibril had utilized her unique nature to reach the introductory level of Observation Haki. Even Fujino Asagami felt a bit unbalanced. She remembered how she had trained herself to death to painfully learn it, yet Jibril got it instantly. It was practically cheating—though as someone with a system, she wasn't really one to talk.
"Alright, let's continue. If you can master the basics of Observation Haki today, I'll give you something good," Fujino Asagami proposed to Touko Aozaki with a smile.
"Something good?" Touko Aozaki frowned. She didn't know what the 'good thing' Fujino Asagami mentioned was, but coming from her, it should be quite impressive.
"It's a really good thing, you know. It has to do with the Root that you all are always chasing after," Fujino Asagami smiled at Touko Aozaki, looking forward to her shocked expression.
Touko Aozaki did indeed show an extremely shocked expression, just as Fujino Asagami expected. Then, she quickly assumed a serious look. "Are you serious?!"
"Of course." Fujino Asagami nodded. She wasn't a Magus; the so-called Root that this world pursued didn't have much attraction for her. If she wanted to, Fujino Asagami could completely rely on the Transcendence Evil Power to become a Magus. One must know that the might of the Transcendence Evil Power far exceeded this world.
"Then let's get started with the training immediately!" Touko Aozaki was now thoroughly motivated.
"It's great that you're so motivated." While Touko Aozaki's eyes twitched, Fujino Asagami pulled a wooden stick out from under her short skirt. This was a bit of a prank on her part; she had specifically spent some points to set this up. As long as she wore a skirt, it would be connected to the system's space, allowing her to take things out from under it at any time. This idea naturally came from certain magical girls she had watched in the past.
She gestured for Jibril to come over, then handed another wooden stick to Jibril, saying, "Just like I did before, let's train Touko together."
Hearing this, Touko Aozaki's expression turned a bit sour. If they both came at her at once, she might actually die, right?!
"Yes, Master." Testing the wooden stick in her hand, Jibril looked at Touko Aozaki with excitement, as did Fujino Asagami.
Looking at the two excited individuals, Touko Aozaki couldn't help but take a few steps back. These two were looking quite terrifying right now.
At the Kuonji Mansion, the atmosphere was somewhat heavy. Aoko and Alice sat together on the sofa, their expressions solemn as the marks on the backs of their hands flickered with a faint light.
