Chapter 22 - Chapter 22

Everyone glanced at the door as footsteps echoed.

Theo walked in, with Phoebe trailing behind him—her face completely red.

"Ooh! You guys finally decided to come out. I thought you were planning to actually fuck each other in the kitchen—I was about to come drag you out," Lea said with a smirk.

Phoebe immediately shot her a hate-filled glare.

"Yo, Phoebe, what's up? Why's your face so red? Was the kitchen that hot?" Blaise teased.

"I… I…" Phoebe stammered, staring at the floor.

"Okay, let's knock it off, guys," Amia said with a grin, cutting in.

"Yeah, I'm starving," Brien muttered under her breath.

Theo dropped the plates on the table.

"You guys help yourselves," he said as he served himself and walked to his seat.

"Hey man, what about us?" Blaise asked, frowning.

"Wait… you weren't expecting me to serve you too, right?" Theo replied, raising his brows as he sat down.

"Fuck off," Blaise muttered as he served himself.

"Phoebe, come and sit down—or are you planning to stand through the whole meal?" Lea said mockingly while serving herself.

I reached out, served myself, and settled into my seat.

Phoebe glared at Lea before walking over to sit.

"Oh yeah, I wanted to ask you something, Lea," Amia said as she took a bite of her ramen.

"Shoot," Lea replied.

"Do you and Phoebe know each other from before, or are you guys related?" Amia asked, raising her brows.

"Why do you ask?" Lea said.

"Well… it's just that you guys act way too close for two people who just met," Amia said, tilting her head.

Lea grinned widely.

"That's because I didn't just meet this goofball now. We're family friends—our older sisters are best friends," she said with a shrug.

"Who are you calling a goofball?" Phoebe snapped, narrowing her eyes.

"Who else would I be talking about?" Lea replied with an obvious look.

"You fucking—" Phoebe started through gritted teeth.

"Could you guys stop behaving like kids? Some of us are trying to eat in peace," Erika said, clearly irritated.

"For once, I agree with Mrs. Obnoxious over there—you guys are annoying," Marvin added coldly.

"I don't find them annoying… I find it hot," Xavier said, staring at Phoebe and Lea with wide eyes.

"Man, that's fucking creepy," Blaise said, shifting away from him.

Xavier just shrugged and kept watching.

"Keep staring, and I'll carve your eyeballs out," Lea said, glaring at him.

I glanced at all of them.

This might be the weirdest group of people I've ever met, I thought, shaking my head slightly.

(After 30 minutes)

Everyone finished eating and stood up to head back to their rooms.

"Wait, guys," Lea called, standing up.

"What is it?" Marvin asked coldly, arms crossed.

"I forgot to tell you—tomorrow morning, we're all meeting here so we can go to school together. Since none of you know the way, make sure you arrive early," Lea said.

"Is that all?" Marvin asked, raising his brows.

Lea nodded.

Marvin immediately turned and walked away.

"Asshole," Lea muttered under her breath, watching him leave.

I glanced at her briefly before heading upstairs.

(The Next Day)

I groaned as I opened my eyes and looked outside.

"Fuck… the sky's already so bright. I'm fucking late," I muttered as I jumped out of bed and rushed into the bathroom.

(After 30 minutes)

I came out wearing a blue crop top, white leather jeans, and black sneakers, my hair falling in loose curly waves.

I picked up my phone and checked the time.

"8:30… I just hope I'm not the last one," I muttered as I hurried out.
