"You fucking bas—" Jadon started angrily.
"Even Catherine, though she's younger than you, has more than you ever will… I'm honestly wondering what the men who sleep with you even see in you," Eliza said with a smirk.
"Oh no… she's dead for sure," Fiona muttered, backing away with Catherine.
"So you're saying I have no assets to speak of, and the men I usually fuck are suffering?" Jadon asked, a dangerous smile on her face.
"Wasn't I obvious? All of us in this group have more than you, and…" Eliza shrugged, letting the statement hang.
"Here we go," Catherine muttered under her breath.
Jadon immediately lunged, tackling Eliza to the ground and interrupting her speech.
"Hey, you bastard, get off m—" Eliza cried, flailing from underneath her.
Jadon dodged and landed a hard punch square on Eliza's face.
"Hey, go easy on the face—we don't want to damage it," Fiona commented, wide-eyed as she watched.
"Fiona!!!" Catherine exclaimed, nudging her, but Fiona just shrugged.
"I'm just saying."
Pinned under Jadon, Eliza tried to defend herself as punches rained down relentlessly.
(After 7 minutes)
Jadon finally stood, delivering one last kick to Eliza's ribs.
"That'll teach you not to run your mouth," she said coldly, dusting herself off.
"Mmmh…" Eliza groaned in pain, bruises now visible all over her face and body.
"Try me again next time, and I might just cut off those two oranges in front of your chest," Jadon said, glancing down at her with a dangerous glare.
"Catherine, come on, let's go," Jadon added, walking toward the car.
Catherine glanced at Eliza with pity.
"Don't worry about her. I'll handle it," Fiona said, stepping forward.
"Okay, Fiona. Bye," Catherine said as she followed Jadon into the car.
The car immediately drove off.
Fiona helped Eliza to her feet.
Eliza groaned in pain.
"Better shut up. You should've known not to provoke this outcome," Fiona said coldly, guiding her to the third car.
Eliza leaned on her, sighing, as Fiona opened the door and helped her inside.
"When you get home, treat the bruises and take some painkillers. That way, it won't hurt as much, and your aunt won't worry," Fiona instructed.
She shut the car door and turned to the driver.
"Please drop her directly in front of her house."
The driver nodded and started the engine.
Fiona stood in place until the car disappeared from view. She then entered her own car, and the driver drove off, leaving the sidewalk completely empty.
(Christabelle's POV)
(After 30 minutes)
Phoebe turned off the gas and faced Theo.
"The ramen's done. Let's go serve it," she said, picking up the pot, only to find Theo standing just a few inches in front of her.
"What… what are you doing, Theo? I thought… I thought we said no teasing," Phoebe said nervously.
"I'm not teasing… I'm just…" Theo leaned closer, stretching his hands above her head and cornering her.
"Theo…" Phoebe shrieked, freezing in place.
"Hmm…" he murmured, leaning closer to her ear.
"You're… you're getting too close," Phoebe stammered, her face burning red.
"Okay, I'm done," Theo said, his breath fanning over her delicate ears.
Phoebe's ears turned an even brighter shade of red as she looked down.
Theo smirked, stepping back and revealing a set of plates in his hands.
"I just wanted to collect these," he said with a grin.
Phoebe's head snapped up, her cheeks flaring in anger.
"What's the problem, little rabbit?" Theo teased slyly.
"You could've just asked for space while I collected the plates. After all, the kitchen is big enough for both of us to stand side by side without touching," Phoebe said through gritted teeth.
"Oh… right, I forgot," Theo said, shrugging.
Phoebe glared, clenching her fists.
"And honestly… it was worth it. That cute expression on your face? Priceless," Theo added, pinching her cheeks before swaggering away.
Phoebe held her cheeks, blushing furiously.
"Asshole," she muttered under her breath, following him.
