Chapter 37 - 37

"Eddie!" Ada suddenly called out.

Eddie was attacked as soon as he looked up! "What are you doing?"

"Nothing, just a reward. You really surprise me. Alright, I'm going to settle scores with Tricell. Let's keep in touch when you have time!" Ada smiled charmingly. Does this count as a hit-and-run? Taking advantage and then ignoring people! Hmph, women!

"You ran off? What about my reward?" Eddie felt his investment might have failed!

"I'll give you a surprise, see you next time! And thank you, from now on, we're friends!" Ada picked up her gear, returning to her cold and alluring spy persona.

Chapter 58: Wolf Mother Karena Returns

Ada eventually left. After strengthening her body and healing her hidden injuries, she only left a blessing and a contact number before departing. She was already on a pirate ship, how could she jump off! Really, it was too unethical.

Actually, Ada had a score to settle with Tricell. In the past, she was constrained by them due to poison, but now she no longer needed to be. Given Ada's temperament, she would absolutely not tolerate such a thing.

If it weren't for Eddie's help, Ada would have needed to be in Raccoon City to be reborn, and after that, Ada would have become even more mysterious. The secrets she carried meant she couldn't be like a normal woman.

After several days of work, Eddie had to leave the laboratory. In a few days, the Tactical Force's vacation would end. As soon as he arrived in the lobby, he saw Curtis walking out with a cardboard box, a typical sign of being fired.

"Hey, Curtis, what are you doing?" Eddie asked curiously.

Curtis's expression was grim. "I was fired because Tricell complained about me."

"Didn't the corporation decide a long time ago not to cooperate with Tricell? Are they just making you a scapegoat?" Eddie analyzed.

"I don't know, anyway, I was fired. I'm leaving, Eddie. I'm sorry, I'm not in the mood to talk right now." Curtis lowered his head, a bit sad. He needed money, and now that he was fired, how would he pay his mortgage?

"Wait, Curtis, maybe we should talk. Let's go to the coffee shop, my treat." Eddie's eyes darted. He wasn't interested in the heroic special forces member Angela; he valued the other party's talent.

The two arrived at the coffee shop. The quiet coffee shop provided a good environment for conversation, and spending a little money for a private room was the best option.

"Eddie, what do you want from me?" Curtis asked, puzzled.

"I'm planning to set up my own pharmaceutical company. I have many formulas, and I need a trustworthy person to manage everything for me. You probably don't even earn a million a year at Umbrella, right? I'll give you two million a year, but I need your loyalty. I don't want any double-crossing." Eddie said directly, without any pleasantries.

Curtis was a bit slow to react. He had no idea why the other party was looking for him. "You said you're starting your own pharmaceutical company? That costs a lot of money!"

"I know. I already have one candidate, and you're the other. I need your help. I want to make money, and so do you, and most importantly, we're quite familiar with each other." Eddie nodded.

Excella alone wasn't enough. Excella had great talent in both business and medicine. But she was also a very ambitious woman, and unless she submitted and became one of his own, she would still be very dangerous.

"Can I do it?" Curtis fell into self-doubt.

"You still have time to consider, no rush. If you've decided, you can call me anytime." Eddie smiled, stood up, and paid the coffee bill.

In the underground laboratory on the other side, Annette used her authority to access William Birkin's laboratory. While William was away, she began copying all the G-Virus data from the computer, from extraction to research and development. She copied all the process data.

Now, all that remained was to produce the G-Virus and G-Vaccine, combine the two, and then give them to Eddie.

Although William temporarily excluded Annette from G-Virus research, he hadn't revoked her access. He never dreamed that Annette would betray him and copy all his data. If it were a more ruthless university student, they probably would have used 'cut' instead.

"The G-Virus doesn't seem to have been successfully developed yet; it looks like it will take some time." Annette looked at the progress bar, immediately understanding the situation.

Although she couldn't take the existing G-Virus, she could take the culture stock solution. As long as she had the G-Virus data and materials, she could develop it herself.

Just then, William and Daniel walked into the lab together. Seeing Annette, William subconsciously asked, "Annette, what are you doing here?"

"I came to wait for you. I've finished developing the vaccine, but it can only be used in the early stages. If the infection has lasted too long, it won't work. Alright, I've said what I needed to say." Annette's hands were in the pockets of her white lab coat.

William was also intimidated by Annette's aura. He recognized Annette less and less, feeling as if she had become a different person.

Daniel, however, didn't speak. He was actually a researcher subordinate to Spencer, taking direct orders from him. He was there to monitor William's serum production progress.

William was actually very clear that he was acting. When the serum was complete, it would be Daniel's death day. With Daniel present, Spencer wouldn't send anyone to trouble him.

Despite William's refusal of the serum sharing plan, everything was still under control. Umbrella was not in a hurry, which was what William hoped for.

A helicopter swayed in the sky. Eddie was piloting it himself, and this thing was not as simple as it looked.

Svetlana sat in the co-pilot's seat, skillfully helping the novice pilot steer. "No rush, take it slow, you can do better. If you have acrophobia, you can jump out now."

"I don't, don't underestimate me. By the way, after this mission, what are your plans? Will you continue to follow me, or go develop on your own?" Eddie asked while controlling the helicopter.

"I still have things to do. If I need anything, I'll call you." Svetlana shook her head. Having friends was a good thing, but she still wanted to achieve her own dream first.

Arklay Mountains villa. When Eddie landed the helicopter, he jumped out. The long-unseen Delta Team had already assembled in the courtyard, with Wolf Mother Karena standing at the front.

"Delta Team assembled!" Wolf Mother said, holding her modified submachine gun.

"Good. The first order is to disguise yourselves as civilians and infiltrate Raccoon City. Monitor Tricell's subsequent activities for me. Four-Eyes, come with me to the lab." Eddie nodded and gave the orders.

Delta Team was his exclusive mobile force. After training on Rockfort Island, these elite individuals could definitely execute the most dangerous missions during the Raccoon City crisis.

Eddie handed the Tricell drug data Ada had given him to Christine Yamata, the most proficient in pharmacology in the team. "This is Tricell's drug data, and this is T-Virus data. I need you to figure out a way to develop a simple, best-selling health product or drug! Can you do it?"

As an enthusiastic virologist, Christine Yamata's eyes lit up after seeing the data. "Of course, boss. I need a little time, about a week should be enough."

Chapter 59: Svetlana's Cooperation Agreement

Although Eddie had money, he had no actual income. Maintaining a team of formidable special forces required a lot of money. In a way, he was very poor! If it weren't for Alex's support, he probably would have gone bankrupt.

He had to find a way to make money! Otherwise, he wouldn't even have money for diapers, let alone luxury cars and villas.

"Michella, you help Christine Yamata." Eddie thought for a moment and then gave another order.

"Boss, you can call me by my nickname, Bertha!" Michaela Schneider said in a cold tone. As a Prussian, she always behaved very seriously, which was also why she was so outstanding in medicine.

"When not on a mission, I'll just call you by your names." Eddie didn't accept her suggestion. He felt he should have some autonomy, so as not to be led around by these formidable mercenaries.

"Eddie, it's been a long time, hasn't it? Want to grab a beer?" Wolf Mother Karena walked over with a smile. She was very grateful to the man in front of her for giving her a job that suited her perfectly.

"I'd love to. I just happen to have some things to ask you." Eddie smiled. He also missed this formidable woman; he needed protection!

Five hours later, Eddie chose to return to Raccoon City. Christine Yamata and Michella remained at the mountain villa to conduct drug research. They didn't know what their boss wanted to do; as mercenaries, they only needed to obey orders.

Regardless of Christine Yamata's fanaticism for bacteriology or Michella's ruthless side in medicine, both made it difficult for them to find suitable jobs. Or rather, their high IQs and low emotional intelligence made it impossible for them to integrate normally into society. Besides pledging loyalty and holding onto this job, they had no other choice.

Karena was tired. She had been defeated again, but she was very happy because her boss, Eddie, treated her as one of his own, truly one of his own! "You're improving very quickly."

"Thanks to Svetlana's training, that's all." Eddie smiled. This time, the helicopter he was piloting flew very smoothly, perhaps because he had defeated Karena.

"You've changed a lot. In time, I might not even be your match." Svetlana wasn't modest, nor did she need to flatter. Everything she said was true. Women are naturally weaker than men in terms of strength.

"That's not necessarily true. If you had my resources, perhaps I really couldn't beat you. Alright, I hope you won't be surprised by what comes next. I also really need your help. I have a feeling something big is going to happen very soon!" Eddie looked at Raccoon City, which was getting closer and closer.
