I walked into class feeling refreshed and for good measure I plopped down right next to Lia who had her head down in her phone trembling and crying. It was over a picture of her and Ethan.
"That's cute," I said.
Her head snapped towards me and the rage was clear on her face. Her dark shadows were deep under her eyes, evidence of the obvious lack of sleep, and her jaw was set in a snarl that bordered on animalistic. She let out a low, guttural growl that vibrated in her throat.
"Melody..."
"Hey," I smiled at her. "Your boyfriend was amazing."
She bared her teeth at me as a tear ran down her face. "Let's fight, you bitch."
Well, I expected this anyway. There was no way that she could've cooled off during the weekend and sadly now I had no choice but to follow through. "You're really stubborn. Even after getting wrecked like that, you want a rematch."
"No way I'd lose to you now," she hissed. I asked for it by being impulsive.
"Fine. Let's get out of the classroom then," I said.
