"Hand it over now! Unless I'll destroy you!" Karl threatened as he picked up a stone from the mountain.
Calmly, Zayn casually said, "You can only try. There's nothing you can do about it."
The fight between them continued right before Sunnie. Things being shattered and loud noises of stuff crashing around.
Sunnie knew she had to stop it before it got worse. But she didn't know how she was going to stop two beastmen from destroying the land!
She certainly wasn't strong enough to physically interfere! That was asking for death! She had to think of a smarter way out of this.
The fight continued as Zayn got out something, his tiger paws firmly clenching onto it. Sunnie stared closely to see what it was.
It seemed like a piece of meat. A little piece in his paws as he proudly said, "You want this? Then I guess you'll have to work harder for it. Because if you can't, I'll as well have it."
"....." Sunnie blinked.
"They're fighting over meat?!" Sunnie found herself saying aloud. She couldn't believe her eyes.
"That's no ordinary meat. It's a special type of pork meat that is rare. It helps boost one's inner strength and gives them impressive abilities," Azure explained. "The two of them had been looking for it for a while now."
Sunnie blinked, watching them fight. "It's still some meat..." She thought.
She saw some pig beasts hiding behind the mountain opening. They were looking for a cue to escape without getting crushed by the fight.
And so Sunnie decided to take action somehow to save them and stop them from further damage.
She looked at them and saw Zayn teasing the eagle man. Zayn had thrown the piece of meat in the air and said, "If you're so desperate, come and get it then!"
With that, the eagle man was set to fly and snatch the meat.
But Sunnie had other plans.
She stared at her legs and body which were weak compared to her original self. She muttered, "I won an award in athletics.. so I hope that helps this poor body."
She muttered as she looked up.
"Female, what are you doing?" Luka stared at her.
But she didn't bother explaining. She stretched out her legs, cracked her neck and fingers, and then took off as though she was in a marathon.
Azure and Luka simply stood there staring in shock as she took off in a flash.
Their eyes followed Sunnie running in the fastest way they'd seen her move. And their eyes followed her as she stomped a foot on the ground and jumped into the air.
Luka's mouth dropped again. "Are you sure the female is okay...?"
Sunnie was in the air for a few seconds. Her weak body ached and she felt like collapsing. But she managed to grab the piece of meat mid-air and then landed hard on her feet.
She could have sworn she heard her bone crack!
Zayn and Karl were speechless. They didn't expect anyone stealing their meat mid-air. But it happened and now their attention landed on Sunnie.
Sunnie had a hand over her waist as she squeezed her face. "Gosh... I think I need to start some exercises..." She muttered, hoping her waist doesn't fall off.
Now all the attention was on Sunnie. When she looked up, she saw the two vicious beast husbands staring at her.
The eagle man flew down while glaring coldly at Sunnie. "What do you think you're doing?! What gave you the audacity to even think of touching that?!" Karl demanded, he didn't sound nice in any way.
Sunnie wasn't surprised at all. The memories from the original host had it that Karl was the short-tempered one with an aggressive nature. While Zayn, though cold and ruthless, was always calm and domineering with every little action.
Both were powerful and ruthless but had different approaches. Zayn was calm with it while Karl was aggressive and short-tempered with it.
"... Hand it over now..." Karl said, it was a threat. "Hand it over unless I won't go easy on you."
Zayn on the other hand stared at Sunnie with a calm expression. One would think he didn't care about the stuff Sunnie took from how calm he was.
But he had a cold and dominating look enough to show it.
"And what are you going to do to the female? She's our mate after all, you can't be threatening to kill her like that," Zayn reminded, staring at Karl.
"Does it look like I care?" Karl snapped. "If she loves her life so much then she should mind her business and hand it over now!"
Sunnie was already pissed off by his arrogance! She wasn't one to entertain such, she had snapped at her boss at work for such an attitude.
Sunnie glared at Karl and snapped, "And what if I don't give it to you? What are you going to do? Are you really going to kill me?"
"....."
The shock on Zayn and Karl's expression was clear. They certainly didn't expect that clap back from Sunnie!
"You..." Karl stared, speechless.
But Sunnie interrupted him, even more authoritative. "No, you shut up. Aren't you embarrassed? Fighting over some piece of meat in the open while destroying people's homes and killing people as well! Just for some stupid meat! The two of you should be embarrassed! Grown-ass animal men thinking they're some powerful beastmen when all they do is chase some meat all day!"

Zayn stared, instantly intrigued and curious by this new side of Sunnie. She had never spoken in this manner before, so this was new to him!
And this new side had instantly piqued his interest. He found it more interesting than her previous boring old self.
Karl on the other hand was triggered by those words. He felt insulted as he clenched his fist. "It seems you have a death wish you woman! Better shut your mouth and hand it over now...." He was approaching.
Sunnie stepped backwards as she raised the meat. "Humph! This is the meat you want right? What if there's no meat, then what?"
"What do you mean by that...?" Before the confused Karl could finish asking, Sunnie drove the little piece of meat right into her mouth as she chewed and swallowed it up in one go!

"???"
Everyone there was beyond shocked.
Azure and Luka stared with immense shock. Zayn was simply impressed by the audacity while Karl was shocked and furious by her nerves!
The pig men there were simply traumatized by the sight of a rabbit eating their pork meat!
