Chapter 19 - Chapter 19. tsundere? As if.

"Um, let me see... your computer is way too clean." Leticia was holding Melanie's laptop and helping her download a game.

Yes, Melanie had a computer; not only that, it was the most advanced model currently on the market.

"Someone gave it to me." Melanie sat obediently behind Leticia. "But I've never used it."

"Anna, have your friend join the guild! Join the guild!" On the other end, the Guild Leader's voice hadn't stopped.

"What is a guild?" Melanie was confused by these gaming terms.

Leticia was too lazy to explain it to her. "Go chat with the Guild Leader first, I still need some time here."

There were still some settings to adjust on Melanie's computer. Leticia conservatively estimated that it would take another ten minutes or so before she could officially start downloading the game for her.

This was the perfect time for Melanie and the Guild Leader to get acquainted.

Melanie was currently among the unemployed; she only came to cause trouble for Leticia because she was bored.

As long as she made more friends and let them occupy her free time, Leticia would be free!

"Oh." Melanie sat down in Leticia's large chair. "So soft."

This chair was much more comfortable than the hard wooden ones at her home.

"Anna, is it okay if your friend plays on your account for a bit?" the Guild Leader shouted to Leticia from across the voice chat.

"Whatever!"

"Ahem, so, miss, what's your name?" the Guild Leader asked somewhat nervously.

Just by hearing her voice, she felt that Anna's friend was quite extraordinary. This friend was definitely a super beautiful girl.

"Just call her York Rose!" Leticia cut in before Melanie could speak.

She was afraid Melanie would just blurt out her real name.

The girl had almost no experience with the internet, so using her real name online wasn't outside the realm of possibility.

"Mm, York Rose." Although she felt a strange sense of dissatisfaction with the name, Melanie still accepted the nickname.

"Oh, then Miss York Rose, first put on the headset... never mind, you don't have to wear it. I'll teach you some basic controls."

"Okay."

As it turned out, while she was naturally gifted at beating people up in real life, Melanie was still a bit too green when it came to doing it in a game.

Even the Guild Leader, who barely reached the level of a scrub, could defeat the character in Melanie's hands using her own account—which was basically all flash and no substance. This truly amazed Leticia as she watched from the side.

The account Melanie was using was the result of Leticia's hard work over the past few years. It might not be in the top ten of the entire server, but it was definitely in the top hundred.

Combined with Leticia's own skills, this account was considered one of the best on the server.

"Guild Leader, it's not nice to bully a noob, is it?" Leticia criticized out of a sense of justice.

"I'm letting York Rose adapt to the cruelty of battle in advance!" the Guild Leader argued plausibly. Bullying a little newbie like Melanie made her confidence swell rapidly.

"Guild Leader is very strong." Melanie nodded seriously.

No, the Guild Leader is the weakest in the guild, Leticia complained internally.

Besides, the Guild Leader probably didn't teach Melanie how to play at all. Otherwise, with Melanie's unparalleled reaction speed, how could she be slaughtered by the Guild Leader?

"Press this key when the Guild Leader's attack is about to hit you, and press this one if you want to hit her..." Leticia leaned down and taught Melanie some basic key bindings.

Melanie listened intently, nodding from time to time.

A minute later, Melanie indicated that she completely understood.

"Why do I feel like you're being so gentle when talking to York Rose, Anna?" On the other end of the line, the Guild Leader felt like she was being force-fed dog food. Honestly, this was the first time she had seen such a gentle Anna.

"Gentle? No such thing." Leticia naturally wouldn't admit it.

Even though she had indeed slowed down her speech a bit while leaning close to Melanie to teach her the skills, it had absolutely nothing to do with being gentle!

Yeah, nothing at all!

"Oh, I get it. You're such a tsundere." The Guild Leader chuckled.

"tsundere?"

"Huh?" Leticia was a bit stunned. People are still tsundere nowadays? You've got to be kidding me.

How could she, Leticia, be a tsundere? She clearly only had the 'tsun' and none of the 'dere'.

"Um, what's a tsundere?" Melanie, who was completely out of touch with society, didn't understand what the Guild Leader meant.

The Guild Leader hummed for a moment, then, amidst Leticia's threatening teeth-grinding, decided to play dumb. "Hahaha, it's just an adjective."

"To describe a girl like Le... Qianqian?"

"Mm, that's right." The Guild Leader's voice was full of amusement. Unknowingly, her previously low spirits had improved quite a bit. "Anna is a total tsundere."

"I am not!" Leticia wanted to snatch the mouse from Melanie's hand and turn off the voice chat with the Guild Leader.

But Melanie clearly lacked that awareness; she still held the mouse tightly, and Leticia's warm palm was now pressed against the back of her hand.

"Sorry." Leticia retracted her hand as if she had received an electric shock.

Melanie looked at the spot Leticia had just touched with a complicated expression, then shook her head calmly. "It's fine."
