Time ebbed away slowly as the world flowed by like it was just any other random day
But nobody noted that in this vast world, the death of two pitiful girls occurred at the same time but in different locations, leading to a world shocking change
In a small house located in the suburbs of ashen grove
A groan ripped through the mouth of a pale 19 year old girl lying on a wooden bed
The girl's eyes suddenly snapped open radiating an eerie blue light, startling the figure sitting right by her bedside
"Nari, are you awake" The figure said, excitement seeping through her voice as she reached towards the pale figure on the bed
The girl's eyes sharpened slightly as she moved on instinct
She held the girl's hand and twisted it in an unnatural angle behind her back
Her actions weren't stable but it was enough to deal with the dainty figure
"Ouch!!!, Nari You're hurting me" The girl cried as pain radiated from her twisted arm
She struggled intensely until a cold voice stopped her dead in her tracks
"Stop moving or else I'll snap your arm right now" she said with ice seeping through her voice, freezing the surroundings instantly
The girls figure froze upon hearing the threat
"Nari, please stop it, you're scaring me" The girl whispered, as a last attempt to snap the girl out of whatever madness was overtaking her at the moment
"Who's Nari" the pale figure asked, when suddenly intense pain radiated from her head, losening her grip slightly
Taking notice of the momentary lapse, the dainty figure broke free as she put some distance between her and the pale figure
Intense Pain kept radiating through her head as her ears started ringing loudly
Suddenly, familiar images started flooding into her brain, the images too fast to catch but slow enough to catch some details
The pale figure froze up as the images registered into her brain
'what's going on" I thought as I tried to make sense of my situation
"Nar..., Please are you okay" a voice cut through my thoughts bringing my gaze straight into beautiful emerald green eyes
Warning signals started ringing loudly in my head as I stood up so suddenly, only to stagger
I reached for the wall, steadying myself
Throwing the familiar but also confusing images to the back of my mind, I fixed a sharp gaze on the figure
"Who are you..., and who's Nari" I asked, my voice so hoarse it was unrecognisable to me
"Nari, are you literally joking with me, what kind of question is that" The girl said as she rolled her eyes and looked sideways
"And who are you that I need to joke with you" I said coldly, frustrating clear in my tone
Suddenly the girl froze in place as her head snapped towards me so fast I thought it will fly off
She looked at me suspiciously upon noticing the sincere look on my face
"Nari..., Did the fever fry your brain!!" The girl said seriously with a worried expression on her face
I froze, speechless to the core by the girl's odd words
I was about to speak when another intense pain radiated through my head
I held my head as another set of images flooded in, just that this time it wasn't mine
It was an entire different image, featuring a girl I'm sure I've never met before
A Korean girl
I froze, and looked at the girl some distance away from me, suddenly taking in the Korean features that marred her face
Though not obvious, it was still there
"Nar....." The girl said, adding to my confusion and frustration
"Get out" I said coldly
"Huh?!, what did you say" the girl said , looking at me like I was speaking another different language
And I actually was, a point I didn't notice until now
Korean language flowed from my mouth like it was natural and I've been speaking it my whole life
I snapped out of my thoughts and noticed the girl presence still in the room
"What are you doing here, or wasn't I clear enough" I said coldly as I directed a sharp gaze in her direction
"Ok ok I'm going" The girl said as she raised her hands in surrender and walked towards the door
The girl stopped by the door and glanced at me with a worried expression
"Just call me when you're back to normal" The girl said, and without waiting for my reply, opened the door and disappeared into the bright hallway, closing the door behind her
I sighed as I walked towards the bed, trying to process the situation I was in
I sat on the bed and ran through the images piled up in my brain
After a while I froze and walked towards the mirror
Standing Infront of a partially shattered mirror, I noticed a different face staring straight at me
The face was sharper but also softer with an undeniable beauty, raven black waist length hair fell behind her back as blue eyes stared back at me
'This... isn't me, though there are some subtle similarities" I thought as I gazed at the face
I was too afraid too reach out and check whether this was all real, feeling that the moment I reach out, the dream would disappear and reality will set in, as it always does
'But didn't I die.., how come I'm still alive but this time with a different face or did ivory not kill me or...." I thought when a very unbelievable idea coursed through me
Too unbelievable to fathom but also the perfect answer to the confusing situation I was in
"Was I.... Reborn" I whispered softly as if saying it would make it more believable and shouting it will destroy the fragile dream I believed I was in.
