"Excuse me" Jung-Sook said with furrowed brows
I froze, taking note of my blunder
"Have you forgotten about Min-Gyu" Jung-Sook asked
"Oh no…how could I forget about, I've just been so distracted lately" I said slowly, trying to play it off."
Jung-Sook laughed softly.
"Of course, you surely can't forget about Min-Gyu..., He would surely cry his eyes his out the moment that happens one day" Jung-Sook teased softly
I nodded, disgust hidden deep in the depths of my eyes
"Ok, let me not keep you anymore than this....But how are you planning on getting to your destination" Jung-Sook asked with raised brows
"Huh?" I said, momentarily confused
"Oh, you silly child. Aren't you going somewhere so don't you need something to get you there?..., Or were you planning to fly?" Jung-Sook said, giggling softly."
'i literally forgot about that...., and it also looks like I don't have any money with me' I thought, frustration burning in me
Jung-Sook noticed my absent-mindedness
"No need to think about it, since I brought it up, I already have a solution" Jung-Sook said
I glanced at her with raised brows, silently urging her on
"You can use my ride. I won't be needing it today," Jung-Sook offered, patting the object beside her.
I directed my gaze to the patted object, onIy to be greeted by a red rusty old bicycle with worn out seats and tires that looked ready to give up at any point
'i didn't even notice that there was a bicycle beside her' I thought when my warning signals immediately rang out
I glanced up in time to see an outstretched hand coming towards my head
My body acted on instinct as I caught the hand mid motion, exerting a little bit of force unknowingly
"Ouch!!" Jung-Sook exclaimed anxiously
I released her hand immediately
Jung-Sook rubbed it upon receival
"You've grown so strong...., looks like the sickness didn't do much damage" Jung-Sook said, half suspicion, half teasing clear in her voice
I gave a small laugh
"Anyways, take the bicycle" Jung-Sook said as she passed me the bicycle
I smiled upon receival
"Thank you aunty Jung" I said, half sincere
"Don't worry, it's what I should do or else Min-Gyu will get angry at me for letting you walk, without providing any help" Jung-Sook said as she grumbled playfully
I nodded non-commitally as I steered the bicycle away
"Bye aunty Jung, I will make sure to return your bicycle in the same state" I said indifferently as I walked away
"It's okay, I trust you" Jung-Sook said as she stared at my disappearing back
"What a lovely child" she mummered as she turned and walked in the direction of her house
I groaned internally, upon remembering the conversation with the old lady
"Why couldn't I have been reborn into a person with less problems" I muttered aloud with a frustrated expression
After checking through the stored memories, I found out that the former Nari had a guy she liked whose name I supposed was Seo Min-Gyu
The grandson of the elderly woman I just finished talking to
Apparently his parents died two years ago, leaving him with his grandma.
Overwhelmed with grief, he almost spiralled into depression until he met Nari
Over the span of two months, they developed feelings for each other but never really gave themselves a title or confessed their feelings
I sighed as I groaned again in frustration, remembering the fucking love problem the owner of this body left for me to handle.
