Under Paragus's frantic suppression, Broly grew quiet once more. Just then, a soldier came running toward them.
"Report! The Legendary Super Saiyan has appeared!"
"Interesting," Vegeta smirked, waving his hand dismissively. "So he's shown himself? We leave at once. I'm going to personally deal with this 'legend'!"
He didn't wait, boarding the ship immediately.
As the ship took flight, Trunks approached Turles with a worried expression. "Mr. Turles, doesn't this all seem a bit suspicious? And will my father be alright on his own?"
"Who knows?" Turles replied vaguely. "He should be fine for now. Let's go have a look at this so-called 'New Planet Vegeta'."
As the group explored, they found the small, green-skinned Shamoans being brutally mistreated by Paragus's men. Gohan, unable to stand the cruelty, stepped in to stop them, successfully rescuing the aliens.
Nightfall.
Vegeta returned, having found absolutely nothing. It was a farce; with Broly right next to him the whole time, there was no way he was going to find the "Legendary Super Saiyan" elsewhere.
As they walked through the palace corridors, Son Goku suddenly dropped down from a nearby window.
"Yo, Vegeta! You're here too!"
"Huh? That's Dad's Ki!" Gohan and Krillin exclaimed, rushing toward Goku.
The moment Broly saw Goku's face, he froze. His voice began to rumble, a low, guttural chant: "Kakarot... Kakarot... Kaka... rot..."
Then his eyes shifted to Turles. Broly's mind snapped. What was he seeing? Two Kakarots?
To Broly, this wasn't a nightmare—this was double the happiness!
"KAKA... ROT!!!" Broly roared, throwing a massive fist at Goku.
Goku instinctively raised his arms to block, but in the next heartbeat, Broly's hand clamped onto his head. With a manic laugh, Broly slammed Goku into the ground and took off, dragging him along the stone floor in a brutal, face-grinding rush.
Amidst Goku's pained grunts, Broly used his head to plow a long, deep trench through the palace courtyard.
Goku flared his Ki, transforming into a Super Saiyan Full Power to force Broly back. He stood up, his gaze wary. "Hey! You're the Legendary Super Saiyan, aren't you?"
Broly didn't answer. He just kept muttering that name: "Kakarot..."
Seeing Broly lunging at him again, Goku could only grit his teeth and meet the charge head-on.
Vegeta, watching from the sidelines, looked like his lungs were about to burst from pure rage. He had been played for a fool! That damn Paragus had lied to him. Broly was the Legendary Super Saiyan. He had been led on a wild goose chase around the galaxy while the target was right under his nose.
"Dammit! That wretched Paragus!"
If Paragus had been standing there, Vegeta would have blasted him into the stratosphere with a Ki Blast then and there.
Unable to contain himself, Vegeta also charged at Broly. "Hey, Kakarot! Get lost! This guy is mine!"
Paragus arrived late to the scene, and seeing Vegeta and Goku already clashing with Broly, he cursed under his breath.
"Useless! They've ruined my plan!! It seems Broly is completely beyond control now. Fine! You can all turn to dust along with this planet!"
"Oh? It sounds like our dear Mr. Paragus has quite the ambitious plan. Why don't you share it with me?"
Paragus jumped, his face turning pale as he saw Turles standing right beside him. "Plan? What plan? I don't know what you're talking about!"
Turles shook his head. "Honestly. You've already been exposed, so why keep acting?"
With a flick of his wrist, Turles fired a casual Ki Blast that sent Paragus straight to the afterlife.
Turles then turned his attention back to the fight. Seeing Goku and Vegeta being completely suppressed by Broly, he couldn't help but marvel. "As expected of the Legendary Super Saiyan. This battle power is truly unscientific."
Indeed, Broly's energy was still skyrocketing.
"Dad!!" Trunks and Gohan shouted in unison, both charging in to help.
But Broly ignored their attacks entirely. His white-rimmed eyes were fixed solely on the man of his dreams: Kakarot. Goku was finding the fight increasingly agonizing; Broly was like a humanoid engine of destruction.
"Tsk, tsk. His battle power has already topped ten billion in just a few minutes?"
"Bastard! DIE!!"
Vegeta let out a furious roar, gathering his energy into a massive Ki Blast and slamming it directly into Broly.
BOOM!
Broly didn't even bother to dodge. As the smoke cleared, he stood there completely unscathed.
"What?!"
Vegeta stared in disbelief. His full-power attack hadn't done a single thing?
Suddenly, Broly stopped. He threw his head back and let out a bone-chilling roar toward the sky.
The golden aura around him began to bleed into a toxic green. As his energy erupted in layer after layer, the ground beneath him began to spiderweb with cracks.
ROAR!
Countless bolts of lightning struck the earth as the atmosphere shattered. Broly's physical form underwent a monstrous transformation.
The Control Crown on his head shattered into pieces. Green energy erupted from his body like a miniature sun, tinting everything in the vicinity a sickly emerald hue.
His height surged to nearly three meters. His muscles ballooned to impossible proportions, his pupils vanished into pure white, and a suffocating pressure radiated from every fiber of his being.
In this moment, Broly had truly become the Legendary Super Saiyan.
The sheer weight of his Ki caused Vegeta's will to snap. He fell to his knees, cold sweat pouring down his face.
"How is this possible...? How can such a monster exist...? We can't win..."
Even Goku was breaking into a cold sweat. Broly's power was far beyond anything he had imagined.
Broly turned toward Goku, a bloodthirsty smirk appearing on his face.
"Kakarot... you'll be the first to die!!"
He blurred forward with incredible speed.
"Look out!! Get back!!" Goku's pupils shrank as he barely managed to leap out of the way.
CRASH!!
Broly's fist slammed into the ground, creating a massive crater.
"Think you can run?"
Broly spun around and flicked a green Energy Ball toward Goku.
BOOM!!
The blast detonated, and the resulting shockwave sent Goku and the others tumbling through the air.
Turles shook his head as he watched the one-sided massacre. "Honestly, if it weren't for plot armor, Kakarot wouldn't stand a chance against this guy."
He looked down at the kneeling Vegeta, a flicker of disappointment in his eyes. "Hey, Vegeta. Are you just going to sit there and wait for death?"
"It's impossible to win... we're all going to be killed," Vegeta stammered. "That guy is the Legendary Super Saiyan!"
Paralyzed by the sheer weight of Broly's bloodline suppression, Vegeta had lost all will to fight. He couldn't even summon a shred of defiance; he was trapped in a prison of his own despair.
"Tch. You really are a disappointment, Vegeta," Turles sighed. "If you want to wait for death, be my guest."
