Chapter 32 - Keeping his word

"Capetown, the captives are in Capetown and I want them all recovered within the next seven days. Spoke a slim brown skin man wearing a top hat with a black and green suit.

"Yes Mr. Grimm, we will fix Chum's mistake and handle the situation for you." A muscular figure wearing dark attire responded. His Grey long hair laid neatly over his shoulders as he portrayed a stance of dominance, his silver bell like eyes remained still and firm.

Along the man's right arm, coiling around it like a snake was a large silver chain around six inches in width leading to the wide neck of a orange dog like beast with multiple white streaks cutting down its back, sitting at his side. Its head was bigger than a watermelon while its lime green eyes changed from green to white with every blink, flickering like a projector screen.

It had thick curved ears and large paws like a tiger, but no tail. The beast yawned as if it was bored showing its brawn yellow canines that looked sharper than a razor blade.

"Good, do what you will to anyone that get in your way, but dont risk getting captured. Issac, the captain of their guards isn't someone to be taken lightly along with the city head Mr. Goldshier."

"Its also the second home of the prestigious Mr. Bell, he's definitely someone we do not want to run into, not yet anyway. Among the kids, its three of them i am very interested in."

Mr. Grim said walking slowly over to a tree pressing his thumb firmly against its bark creating a small wind that nipped it off revealing red worms behind it. With a gentle whistle, the light air that exited his lips split the worms in half knocking them to the forrest floor.

"Knox." He called out.

"Yes sir Grimm." Knox answered stepping out from the shadows.

"See to it that Hail makes it past the city walls of Capetown. You are to help him locate our targets quietly and make a hasty retreat. Hail will do all the heavy lifting, you are not to leave a single fingerprint on anyone. Is that clear?."

"Yes sir." Knox said with a nod.

The man called Hail looked at the slim boy as if he was seeing things in a confused manner before speaking again.

"Forgive me Mr. Grimm, but this is just out of concern. I do not need the help of a child, I can complete this task easily with just a few of my men." He said with his head hung low in respect.

"Im fully aware of that Hail, but Knox is someone I am molding personally to be the most feared assassin this world has ever seen. Any opportunity he gets to take on a mission that can improve his skills is something I will not let him pass up. With his ability, you and your people will be in and out with a snap of his fingers. Now go, and for your sake, do not let any harm fall upon Knox, or your head is mine." Mr. Grimm said with glowing green eyes shifting the pressure around them slightly.

The beast beside Hail stood on its four muscular legs and tilted its head down while cutting its eyes upward and began to snarl at Mr. Grimm, responding to the threat its master had received.

"Hmph. Cute." Mr. Grimm softly spoke without taking his eyes off Hail who commanded his beast to calm down.

"Forgive my beast manners, he's a bit jumpy these days." Hail responded quickly after the large beast settled back down.

Mr. Grimm then waved them off and turned his attention to a large cage with a round man inside it that had burned marks on his neck leading to his jaw.

"Now, Chum. I told you I would kill you and bury you myself if you lost a single captive again. I suppose you feel I am not a man of my word."

Hold it Mr. Grimm, please think about this. I came to you in good reason. I could have simply ran, but I didn't. " Chum pleaded with wide watery eyes.

"And where would you have ran to, there is nowhere in this kingdom you could hide. The second Malaria beast returned to her side, your death was sealed." He responded.

The next moment a fluent breeze swept through the cage. At first it was like a pleasant air, but quickly turned into a stinging wind that took Chum's breath away while puncturing small holes through his legs. Small bullets of air ruptured his knees making him fall. Blood poured from the wounds as more appeared.

Chum cried and screamed as one wind bullet after another shot through his body. He hardened his arms turning them into molten coal attempting to swat and fight the wind back, but it did nothing. Two wind bullets penetrated his elbow separating his arm by a hanging tendon.

"Ahhhhhhh, please." Chum screamed grabbing his hanging arm just before a hole formed in his belly, then his side. Within the next few seconds his body looked like a block of dismembered Swiss cheese, riddled with holes that destroyed his features. Mr. Grimm didn't stop there, more wind bullets ripped through Chum's unmoving figure.

Body parts were torn and shredded on the cage floor. They were so torn, one couldn't tell which body part it was. The bottom half of his body looked as if it went through a blender while the top, what little was left looked half eaten by a beast.

With a wave of his hand, a green searing wind struck the ground creating a small crater big enough for the cage. With a kick, the cage tumbled into the hole. A flick of his fingers and the wind swept the few pieces of Chum's body that flew through the cage holes earlier, and pushed them into the hole as well.

Mr. Grimm then casted a twisting wind that pulled shallow dirt from the ground and the broken earth crust from the hole. The large mound of dirt was now trapped within the small wind vortex. Just as he was about to finish the job, he stopped.

"Ah yes, there was one more thing I promised I would do." He thought walking to the hole.

Exhaling lightly, a stream of liquid splattered on the ground and all around the cage.

"Aims off a little, I use to be able to write my name in the sand with great accuracy when I was a young one. I guess the flow really does change the older you get." He said outloud to himself with a smirk while urinating.

"Im a man of my word." He thought commanding the twister to drop the load of dirt over the hole.

Damon had broken the ice with Raya, but just like Jasper, she didn't remember him. Damon was even more frustrated, but did his best to not let it play in his mind. He had thought about letting it all go..... and would have without issue, but unlike the others, his memories wouldn't let it be that simple.

"Well i hope you're able to find some comfort within your mind. Maybe whoever did this to us damaged your memories and that's why you feel like you know me and that other boy, Jasper. " said Raya who was sitting on the sofa with a suitcase next to her. In only four short days multiple kids had been adopted.

Jasper was taken to his new home two days ago and the only reason Raya wasn't gone yet was because of Mrs. Res who wanted to keep her, but eventually let the thought of adopting Raya go with the help of Dr. Res. She was now waiting to be picked up by her new family.

Damon flopped down with sagging shoulders on the sofa across from Raya generating a long exhale.

"Yea maybe you're right, maybe whoever did this to us broke my brain or something. Ill just push it all to the back of my mind." He responded before reaching for a cup of water on the small table in front of them.

Over the last couple days, he had gotten Raya to speak more, although it wasn't much, he did share his thoughts and probed her mind a little about what she could remember. Just like everyone else, she felt no type of way about the entire brainwashing situation. It was like something had been planted in their minds to manipulate their feelings making them perfectly ok with it.

Instead of waiting around with Raya for her new guardians, Damon said his peace and went to his room. A little while later Damon, Sin and two other boys sat in the back yard relaxing after cleaning up the area. All the girl orphans were the first to go and only a handful of boys were next not including Jasper. Four boys remained and only one of of them had been targeted for a potential family.

Sin on the other hand, had a little breakthrough. Apparently people who claimed to of blood made contact with captain Issac. Until it was confirmed, he was to stay at the orphanage. One kid out of thirteen bloodline didn't completely perish.

"Well all of this happened dreadfully fast." Said Sin as he leaned back on a soft cushioned chair on the back deck patio. Damon and the others shared a dark Grey sectional sofa. The outside weather proof furniture was just as nice as the indoor furniture.

"Yea, I didn't expect for it to be only four of us left in such a short time" A boy with purple shaded pupils and long yellow hair with dark and light purple shades at the root of his scalp. His face structure was deep and well toned making his head look perfectly shaped and his face features seem older. The odd thing was, his face didn't match his thin kid like body. The boy also had a thin mustache and was only 10 years old which earned him the nick name Manboy.

"Yea, their picking us off like we're puppies being sold. I guess this litter, the girl's were more sought after." Sin responded with a slight smirk making them chuckle.

"Hmph, all of this is still crazy, but yea, I guess we are the last pick of the litter " Damon said making them gaze around thoughtfully.
