If there was anything that was hard and extreme for Rei's entire life, it would've been anything related to academic stuff. Basic algebra was already enough for him to understand although some equations would already screw his head up and put him in a confused state before losing his mind and giving up on maths.
"How is this an extracurricular class?" Rei muttered to himself, a pile of faux documents and some of the ones that he had finished had red inkings marked by Eunji herself.
It was extremely difficult considering that there were a lot of aspects when becoming a sorcerer. The top three rules from what Eunji and Rinka had told him were crucial to remember. The first rule was to always look for details no matter how small or irrelevant it was since it could be a clue to an ongoing investigation or assault on a raid mission.
The second rule was to always have resources when fighting whether it was physical or mental use. There are situations when one has to fight without the use of prowess which was Rei's specialty since he was a late bloomer and had been fighting hand-to-hand combat.
The final rule, one of the most important rules out of the rest was to never mention being relaxed or peaceful as this would always end up with the most complicated and neverending bad luck for the rest of the day.
"Rei." Rinka called out which brought him out of his head before she started to explain the rest, "We're conducting a simulation raid test for you to check out the results and area that we need to train and guide you with."
Rei nodded his head before tidying his desk immediately, wanting to keep a clean space for him to work on the practice investigation sheets to improve himself later on since his only work for now was to arrange any documents that were not filtered out.
The supposedly extracurricular class felt more of an internship since he was basically getting experience for his future career although he had to remind himself of the ancient being residing within him.

The so-called simulation raid test had almost drained him if it weren't for the recovery potions that they had in their storage for emergency cases which he didn't want to ask since it would be rude for him to ask a lot of questions for the first day.
So far, he had done a search and rescue simulation which he had to do twice with the only difference of having enemies to fight and having to go in without the use of his prowess to gauge his own capability if he had what it takes to be a sorcerer which he passed through Eunji and Rinka's judgement.
From what he had observed, the assault division clearly focuses more on practical work than educational classes as the extracurricular class only gave what the students need for their career which Rei understood since his was more important than Sylvie due to being the front line.
With the amount of investigation documents and other important things to take care of, he definitely knew he had to take this class seriously or else he may just get expelled or have to put him in another course instead.
While the sound of being transferred sounds nice since he was gonna get something more easy or manageable to adjust his lifestyle with in the academy, the thoughts of quitting all because the course for the assault is extreme was putting a toll on his pride since he had promised himself that he was gonna do his best until the day of his execution.
"What's next?" Rei asked as he had his breathing stable while Rinka was taking care of the settings for the simulation facility to operate his next test. "Raid mission simulation." Eunji said as she was grabbing a couple of papers that seemed to be related to taking records of his simulation test.
Rei listened to Eunji's instructions before the simulation started as he took note of every important detail he needed for the run. "Alright… Subdue the targets as quickly as possible but only eliminate ones that are high risk…" he muttered to himself before activating his prowess since he was allowed to use anything to complete the simulation.

Rinka was impressed with how Rei was handling close combats despite having some disadvantages of his own prowess since there was no one around him to copy. "Dang… He's good." She commented as she read Rei's official documents regarding his information and level from Hong Kong.
"Despite having a disadvantage of not being able to copy any prowess around him, the slight boost of his own prowess along with his own combat intellect and physical skills is impressive." Rinka thought to herself as she took note of how the male was using his agility and strength to keep up the flow of subduing the targets at best before eliminating ones that were too risky for him.
She knew that the guy was a god-tier but didn't expect for the latter to have so much skill since the only people she knew who could back it all up were her best friend and a couple of seniors at the academy and other institutes.
"His flow is alright but needs more work if he's going to be in the main line." Eunji stated as she wrote things down on the paper, noting Rei's performance for the simulation as she commented on his quick thinking and resourcefulness towards the situation when dealing with multiple opponents. "Excellent thinking. No wonder why headmaster Sho wanted Rei to be in Kamigami Academy rather than letting the guy stay in Hong Kong while being supervised for his status."
Rinka wasn't dumb enough to not know what she meant since her best friend had told her a bit of what happened prior to the incident that made Rei a vessel to the ancient being that almost everyone in Ethereal knows of.
"You know what's crazy? It's the fact that he's doing this with his own boosted stats from his prowess without the ancient beings' help or boost in it." Eunji stated which made Rinka whistle in amusement especially when someone had the potential to be a part of Kamigami Academy's strongest.
"Well that's another reason why headmaster Sho assigned this newbie to our division when it's too extreme for anyone to be in…" Rinka said as she watched the entire simulation with Eunji while making critical comments of the whole performance, noting every good and bad aspects of Rei's simulation test.

After hours of more simulation runs in the Assault Division, Rei had finally gotten his rest while grabbing a couple of practice materials that he could use for his revision. "Jeez… It's like working a full hour job despite the morning classes…" he muttered to himself weakly before yawning.
Rei felt drained throughout the simulation run since Eunji and Rinka had basically overworked him if it weren't for the orange brown hair girl to call it out to Eunji due to the passive ability of her prowess picking up on his current state.
The assault division really lives up to the name since everything that he had done for the day felt like real training to a professional sorcerer on duty. It was no wonder why Eunji really had that aura of someone that had authority regarding her experience and attitude throughout the entire time and process.
"I wonder… Should I do some of the practical exercise after dinner and a quick shower or do it tomorrow early in the morning?" He questioned himself before choosing the first option as Rei immediately went back to his dorm.
The academy life in Kamigami Academy was much better than Sir Ellis Kadoorie High School since it had a lot of great things that benefits his entire career as the former school lacked a lot of things such as proper discipline through students that were mischievous due to the social hierarchy where only the strong are always in the right.
Rei Nishimura was glad that this recommendation from the headmaster had allowed him to live a better life despite his situation of being executed when the time had come for his tragic end. "Thanks for this new life…" he uttered to himself while looking over the window in his room after finishing one practice investigation paper report.
He had a lot of things in his mind, however, he didn't let those things distract him from doing his best as Rei was determined to prove himself no matter how hard and extreme the extra curricular class was or if the other class would become harder when time passed by.
"I'll make sure to make my life worth living!" Rei smiled to himself although the familiar voice in his head surprised him. "Shut up brat! I can hear you so loud while I'm trying to sleep!" The ancient being shouted while the male sweatdropped as he started to ponder if there was a way to block his thoughts from them since he wanted to keep some information in his head private especially when he was placed in the Assault Division where a lot of important things would be mentioned a lot.
