Lavenia's POV
I froze in my tracks when I heard Jax's command. I gave him a questioning look, which eventually made him chuckle softly.
"Oh, sorry... you must have misunderstood," he said calmly as he stepped forward to close the distance between us. I blinked as he reached out, grabbed something behind my back—a piece of white fabric—and handed it to me.
"Wear this. You can change your clothes over there." He pointed to a room, and I took the item from his hand hesitantly. "I want to recreate the success of the Silver Wolf once more," he said.
"With this mural?" I asked. He nodded. "If you liked that painting so much, why did you end up giving it to someone else?"
He frowned at my question. "Someone else?"
"I saw that painting in my professor's office—the one who assigned this interview. She said she admires you so much that she wants to know every detail of your life," I said.
